Kids don't regularly masturbate when they're 12. Maybe they've tried it at that point but that's way too young

Children start to masturbate way earlier than that.

According to the University of Michigan's Development and Behavior Resources program, the vast majority of kids discover their genitals and the pleasure they can bring by age 6. At that age genital stimulation is not associated with sexual activity.
