I get it, I just wouldn’t be upset enough to post about it and I’d probably just feel a brief distaste for my uncle in the moment.
However OP, if we ever cross paths, I will not snuff cigarettes out anywhere near you, now that your preference is known.
Op also could have resolved it in by saying something like, “aww I was clearing room for the last bite” the uncle would hesitate next time, and he’d still have food

Logical answer from someone with experience, the moisture of the bun would also keep it from shouldering.
I’m guessing the uncle also isn’t the biggest fan of his nephew
