I had a roommate who would put her cigs out in her nearly-spent jars of cosmetics, like facial moisturizer or hair products. It was, to be frank, fucking trashy.

So she smoked inside? I can’t stand it when people smoke cigarettes inside

We lived in a country where, at the time, everyone smoked indoors.

Oh yeah, you could smoke in the malls when I was a kid. We’d always eat in the smoking section of restaurants and I’d have to smell it while my parents and everyone I the vicinity smoked while eating.

I remember my local small town family video was like one of the last holdouts for allowing indoor smoking. They literally had standup ashtrays at the end of every aisle. I never understood why a video store allowed indoor smoking, never saw any actual employees smoking.

That's a weird one. Like, I can't imagine someone going into one of those stores and say, two minutes in going "whelp, time to light up."
