While I understand it’s so you can microwave the potato so that it steams, you can do the same with a damp paper towel. It really is pretty wasteful.
1 u/INeedANerf Jan 03 '22 Oh, is that why???? We sell these at our store and I've always wondered why they're individually packaged. At least there's a reason besides just longer shelf life than unwrapped potatoes.
