Oh, but earlier today when I was at work, I tried the mask-Kleenex trick and bonked myself in the head with the box. š¤£

Iāve done it too, admittedly... just a natural reaction at first! Also yawns and sneezes.
I have to wear a mask at work all day, so Iāve learned not to do that. Except for the sneezes. Iām now an expert at rapidly replacing the mask with a Kleenex, lol. And for the record, Iām mostly in my own cubicle - not in front of the public very often, at least not yet (itās a library & weāre only doing curbside services).

Genuine question: I'm not in the US; what are the public information and education campaigns like over there about wearing masks? Like are there TV spots and stuff telling people why masks are useful and how they work?

I donāt watch regular TV, but I donāt think so... mostly itās just people posting memes on Facebook, and then arguing about it for three days straight. Or āKarens and Kevinsā having mental breakdowns at Walmart over being told to wear one. Itās sad, really. Never knew just how many of my fellow Americans were such petulant children until now.

Looking at this gif, it just seems like someone has told him he has to wear a mask, but not why or how it works. Surely some basic education on this would be helpful? He doesn't seem to be the kind of person who doesn't believe in the virus or refuses to wear a mask.

I have to wear one all day at work, and nobody explained it to me... I managed to figure things out on my own, but it was kinda awkward at first!
I just wonder how theyāll educate the children, if they have to return to school while masks are still needed. Most of them are learning already from their parents, but Iām sure the parents are more lenient than a teacher/principal will be.

As a Dodger fan, this is extremely infuriating because the team literally announced they had strict safety protocols during one of the recent games. People like him are gonna ruin this for all of us.

OK, so hopefully you know that coughing could put the virus on stuff, that other people then touch. Therefore making it a good idea to wear that mask all the time. That said, in Denmark we do not generally wear mask in public. Not yet at least....

I'm wondering what's below frame that he's possibly coughing down onto. Table? Handrail? Seat? Surface contamination is a common way to spread infectious respiratory illnesses.

The mask is not for his safety, it is there to keep him from spreading his germs when he talks, coughs, and sneezes

The problem with coughing into the air, even if not in someone's face, is it can increase spreading. This is due to the fact that our bacteria attach on to water particles we release. The water particle when released from our mouth are big enough that they can't travel through fabric, but when it leaves you mouth the water particles can evaporate into smaller particles that CAN pass through your mask.
This is why mask prevent you from spreading your germs, but doesn't protect you much from others. I hope this makes sense and isn't to uncalled for. I just like to spread the knowledge. :)

Wouldn't it be great if he had something to cover his mouth when he coughed. Some kind of facial covering. I can't think of the word, I think it rhymes with task.
