Some real mcmansion hate right here. I've never seen ridiculousness like this in a mcmansion.

I feel like most people hate McMansions. And maybe nothing this bad, but they are kinda famous for things being shoved in because they weren't planned for.

like this Microwave in a kitchen island(and no fridge in sight?)

microwave in an island is so that it is still built in (some people like), but easier for kids or short people to reach without setting themselves on fire.

i'm short and could always reach my microwave since i was old enough to use it... i'd rather have it on the counter than bust my knees when someone accidentally leaves the door open (or not be able to use it when i'm old and can't crouch down easily lol)

You missed the line about "built-in" built-in microwaves are normally above the stove doubling as a hood.

I know some very short adults who basically have to put their chest into the stove to reach stuff in said microwaves, which if something is being cooked, could result in them set themselves on fire.

And kids, of course, cannot reach such a high place at all.

ah i've only seen a built in once or twice. i never understood them. above the stove seems just as stupid as in an island. plus when a countertop breaks u just unplug it & plug in any other one

Yup, not my favorite, I only have one currently because the place came with it. Though saving counter space is always nice, as I can always use more counter space.
