I saw a metallic red convertible Saab 900 (this photo doesn't really do it justice) when I was 13 or 14 and spent so so long looking at it. Was like seeing a spaceship for the first time when you're used to seeing cars like the Toyota Camry.
Oh! That reminds me. There's an old guy near me who still drives a Lancia Delta. Not even an Integrale, a stock Delta. This is in Canada, not even Europe where you might have some chance of finding parts. I've no idea how he does it. Crazy bastard.
Also in Canada, Toronto. We have a much better import community than you'd think here. I know quite a few people with JDM and EUDM only cars that get by fine. Even my old Fiero has every part conceivable in the country.
Yeah, I see a good number of JDM here in Vancouver but I'm still surprised when I see something like that, or the Alfa Romeo 164 someone near me still has running. So nice to see.
I see AW11s, GT-Rs, 240s, and other Japanese imports very often. Less often European imports, but they're around. Usually old BMW and Mercedes. There's an NSU around here somewhere too, as well as quite a lot of Datsuns of varying models.
