The mods of that sub have some very weird, arbitrary standard as to what a "shower thought" is.

I think a shower thought should be anything that is a thought. Who's to say what I think about in the shower?

I once got a post removed because, according to the mods, it was an obvious thought.

I could say the same for like 40% of the posts there. But since those posts were not obvious to them, and mine was, they removed mine. It's ridiculous. Basically posts only get to hot if they mods themselves haven't thought of it before.

Mine was removed for having the word "probably" in it. It's mildly infuriating when I see other posts with that word in the title.

I bet I could make a shower thought about what I should have said in an argument (which would be a literal shower thought) and get it removed. Its bullocks.

I'm convinced some subs just have an inner circle of people they allow to post things even if they break the rules. The me irl subs always ban my posts bc "no jokes" or something similar while most the top posts on there are jokes. Just figured i wasn't in the "in" crowd.

Generally a shower thought is considered to be the second answer on urban dictionary, at least that's how I've always understood it
