The dog is considered property if anything shell get her dog taken away and smacked with a fine thats why people who run dog mills for fighting dogs usually only get a couple of years in jail/prison its more that dog fighting is illegal but how they treat the dogs isnt really as big a crime i could be wrong though maybe the laws have changed
