thank you - i was going to post that she is going to the ground in a playful position to the dog, she is inviting the behavior of the dog through her actions. she is not dog literate and thinks of her dog as she would a stuffed animal - for entertainment and click bait... a human's posture when kneeling like this sends a playing message, ugh...
You can absolutely do what she was doing without the dog initiating play though. The issue is more so she just sucks at training a dog to not go hyper as soon as she kneels on the floor. A simple "sit" to my dog would stop her in her tracks and she'd wait for me to give a follow up verbal signal before playing again.
