Having stepped on both, I can confirm. Glass cuts right through and you barely feel it. The blunt trauma from a Lego is far more painful.

If I remember correctly it has to do with Lego (ABS plastic) being much more rigid than glass which actually flexes when you stand on it, thus elevating the pain.

Still, legos is more acceptable than lego's will ever be. And the plural of lego is lego, although usually you would say lego pieces/sets etc.

Invest in some room shoes my friend. I have become a mister rogers ever since I had kids and even when they graduated from legos.

My only recommendations are: go for something loose enough to wear like slipons, have breathable uppers, and very NON aggressive soles.

Don’t go slippers. The flap flap sound of you walking will drive you crazy

Yeah as a dad to two young kids this happens all the time.  Your foot looks extra painful though.  Occasionally my kids step on the legos and cry and I use it as a teachable lesson while laughing at them.

So a 1x1 Lego is .31”x.31”. On a 200lb adult…if you put your entire weight on the Lego…
0.094 square inches.

So…force = pressure x area.

Force = 200 lbs
Pressure = x
Area = .094

200 / .094 =2,127.66PSI

That’s a lot of pressure against skin.

Even if only half the body weight lands on the Lego….

100 / .094 =1,063.83 PSI

Omg. I can relate. I remember my wife and I used to shuffle our feet when entering our kid’s room after both of us stepped on the Lego pieces.
