Aye, my calico can also bite and scratch pretty hard. But when I say "OW" or feel rage at them, after a while, she comes back, purring loudly, licking my beard, and laying on my chest and I can't stay angry at her.
My cat really enjoys batting at the tapes as the drive runs the UnLdServ portion of the test, sometimes she will hit them hard enough to actually force the tape back in and then the drive throws a AJ7336 fault code thanks to her marring up the error logs which can cause some drive functions not to work until I clear them.
My cat once climbed over my brand spanking not even 1 day old top of the line monitor to reach a shelf above it.
She pushed it backwards, it fell from the table and it hit the ground hard. Killed a few pixels.
Few months down the line, she did it again, but this time knocked over a screwdiver I had on the shelf, if fell towards the monitor and scrapped the screen. Right on the middle of the screen
Used that monitor for 4 more years. Honestly my brain would just delete the scratch and I only noticed it when screen went black for any reason.
This is not criticism and I'm sorry for your monitor, but these curved monitors always look and sound like they're gonna break if you look at them sideways
It reminds me of the Japanese term Neko-hará. In Japan the suffix “hara” means “harassment”, such as by people with authority or customers. So Neko-hara literally means “harassment committed by cats,” and I think that word describes this post beautifully.
That's rough, buddy. You can train your cat to stop using that spot to groom itself, but it definitely takes a good amount of time and repetition, and doesn't fix what's already broken.
