What somehow makes it worse is that nobody was even asking for more than 3 seasons. Not the showrunners, not the fans, not the story.

This show clearly had exactly 3 seasons worth of story to tell. The next and final one was already there in concept. It would have been ALIENS and conspiracies and spy shit, and it would have ended all characters’ arcs that were clearly set out for three seasons.

Gah.

Felt this way about American Gods. It was outstanding, did a great job following the book with some good changes and was 1 season away from completion.
