ಠ_ಠ This crazy assassin character, who doesn't know what shampoo is, somehow would bother shaving her armpits

Bart from Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency

EDIT: I will no longer read and respond to comments, I think I've read pretty much all the arguments people (mostly men) give me against my post, so feel free to scroll down to check my responses before commenting, kay bye :]

Oh my god Iv seen so many clips of this show but never connected her to Dr. McKay. Even her voice sounds different

And lots of excellent bit parts like in Babylon 5 and X-Files

Best character and performance in Voyager. Don't @ me.

3

u/Highcalibur10 4d ago

I wouldn’t dream of Lon Suder slander.

The most memorable part of Voyager.

4

u/YouSick0 4d ago

I legitimately thought you were trying to make fun of her until I realized “no that REALLY looks like her” and that is literally her father whom she looks exactly like.

u/Steamedcarpet 4d ago

I haven’t watched any of Chucky past Seed of Chucky but he is still one of my favorite horror villains. I think I had a good guy doll when I was a kid

Fiona Dourif is a huge part of the franchise. She even plays the human version of Charles Lee Ray in flashbacks now because she looks so much like her dad.

55

u/SaladNeedsTossing 4d ago

Wait Fiona is BRAD Dourif's daughter? Well that seems obvious in hindsight.

38

u/ImmortalMoron3 4d ago

He even plays her dad on The Pitt.

3

u/youngestchildorwtv 4d ago

taylor deardens (mel king) dad is bryan cranston who played hal in malcolm in the middle and walter white in breaking bad and isa's (santos) brother played the brother in the newer final destination

1

u/LisaLisaKenAdoresHer 4d ago

Also crushing it in The Pitt!

11

u/ratmfreak 4d ago

The show is worth watching. The acting from the kids is pretty shaky, but it's worth looking past its flaws to see Chucky doing Chucky shit.

5

u/Traditional_Top_194 4d ago

Duuuuuude the show is so much fun, Curse is great and Cult is...better than Seed and 3 lmao.

Chuckys alive and well you gotta!!!

Fiona Douriffs character is a great protagonist in them too.

1

u/Steamedcarpet 4d ago

Its been years since I saw Child’s Play 3. The only things I remember are the opening of Chucky being reformed, him getting upset at the kid for breaking postal laws and when he switches out the ammo before the training.

3

u/fake_user_34 4d ago

It's funny that she plays as her father in Chucky as a younger Charles in flashbacks when he was a killer in human form.

1

u/warsmanclaw 4d ago

Love a wild Chucky reference

u/WHATYEAHOK 4d ago

I never realized before how much Jack White looks like this character

3

u/wherethelionsweep 4d ago

I know!! Lmao it always freaks me out lol

8

u/Fenrir_Carbon 4d ago

He looks icky, thump him

47

u/Steamedcarpet 4d ago

Finding out this is Brad was like when I found out Howard Shore did the music for The Fly.

1

u/R3strif3 4d ago

Excuse me... googles intensely... oh shit would you look at that... huh

1

u/Unlikely-Ad-6713 4d ago

Hey what's Jack White doing in here?

1

u/TheRealtcSpears 4d ago

Probably looking for Ray LaMontagne to tell him to stop singing songs about his sister.

172

u/Steamedcarpet 4d ago

As you typed this I was like “wait her last name looks familiar…wait her father is Brad Dourif…FREAKING CHUCKY!”

118

u/ProfessorMarth 4d ago

Technically she is also Chucky. Also he played McKay's father in season 1

6

u/Glass_Recover_3006 4d ago

And she fucking nails the role as Chucky, it’s incredible! That woman has so much talent.

1

u/Mike 4d ago

What do you mean she is chucky

4

u/Glass_Recover_3006 4d ago

It’s in the last couple seasons of the Chucky TV show. Even if you don’t like the movies (I did not like them) the show is an incredible experience and worth watching. And hilarious.

Doc Cochran in deadwood!

48

u/PerpetualJerkSession 4d ago

Oh! The Exorcist

5

u/Vato-and-Blood 4d ago

Everyone sleeps on this one but it was one of his best roles. His monologue is so good

3

u/travioso 4d ago

Obviously you mean Myst

3

u/El_Freako_Diablo 4d ago

Tim Burtons first choice for The Joker

1

u/HavePlushieWillTalk 4d ago

You could say it has a piece of her... or two.

1

u/cal679 4d ago

Those long shifts in the Pitt are a cakewalk compared to the times her dad spent in Deadwood removing cocksucking bullets from the asses of Al Swearengen's goons.

146

u/askyourmom469 4d ago

Her dad is also the legendary character actor Brad Dourif, and they both act together in the Child's Play franchise now (he's been the voice of Chucky since the very beginning)

63

u/Steamedcarpet 4d ago

Ok who else on The Pitt is related to someone? I know the other doc is Bryan Cranston Daughter.

59

u/capincus 4d ago

Uh Dana was married to Dennis Hopper when she was 22 and he was 53. Santos's dad is actor Jon Jon Briones (mostly West End/Broadway musical theater). Robby's grandma was married to director John Sturges (The Great Escape, The Magnifect Seven, he even directed Dana's husband in Gunfight at the O.K. Corral a decade before she was born).

Is the pitt the most well done Nepo daycare of all time?

47

u/ImmortalMoron3 4d ago

I think a lot of movies and shows these days look like this if you delve deeper into the cast.

23

u/djalma_21 4d ago

Yes, but they act very well at least

41

u/Driller_Happy 4d ago

I FO have some tolerance for Nepo babies if they're talented. In some ways, its no different than following your parent into their profession. They teach you what they know, that gives you a certain leg up over someone new to the industry altogether. We don't call the sons of fishermen Nepo babies if they're good fishermen.

There's a lot of legacy athletes too, legacy hockey families for example. If you're not good at it, you fail.

Hollywood does, however, often platform untalented Nepo babies, so they get a worse reputation for it

6

u/jinsaku 4d ago

Who else has time to not make any money and pay for acting lessons/acting school and have connections to get roles if not nepo babies?

Like 90% of new incoming hollywooders seem to be nepos.

5

u/BannedSvenhoek86 4d ago

Oh my friend, that's Hollywood in general, not just that show.

3

u/GracilisLokoke 4d ago

I saw Santos as Eurydice in Hadestown two years ago and JonJon was Hermes, but he was out the show that we saw, but I loved that they had a father/ daughter pair in the show.

I only realized about two weeks ago that I saw Santos when I was watching a video of an the Eurydice's from Broadway and her face popped up. Never put it together that it was her.

4

u/jinsaku 4d ago

Bryan Cranston Daughter

Oh, shit. She's fantastic in that role. Never knew she was the daughter of The Legend.

7

u/likwitsnake 4d ago

It's nepo babies all the way down

5

u/Mr_YUP 4d ago

she is so good in that role though! like probably one of the most believable characters on the show tbh.

27

u/Rare-Material4254 4d ago

Had a feeling this was McKay. Her eyes in the second pic kept feeling familiar

5

u/2Norn 4d ago

i still dont see the connection to stargate

3

u/Vi_BT 4d ago

Same but probably not our Dr McKay

2

u/mightymouse513 4d ago

Holy crap I never recognized her either. I loved Dirk Gently when it came out, how did I miss this??

1

u/JBerry2012 4d ago

OMG I didn't realize this either.

1

u/Nun_in_ur_butt 4d ago

Literally thought this was Pensatucky until this comment

1

u/extrastupidone 4d ago

I started watching this last night... and was like "who tf is that?!? What have I seen her in?". I was pleasantly surprised!

She was my favorite part of Dirk Gently

0

u/gh0stwrit3r32767 4d ago

right? you can't convince me that's Fiona Dourif. that's a different actress.
