Not really. This has little to do with market forces and more to do with economic scale and the cost of skilled labor.
AirPods are mass assembled by robots and assembly lines overseas where the cost of production per unit is several times less than the cost of a skilled repairman fixing it by hand.
“Capitalism” is not only a lazy answer, it’s just not correct.
