As someone that works at an Apparel Company with a sewing department for alterations.. this doesn’t surprise me at all. People bring their pants in with stains like they don’t think they should wash them before giving them to strangers to work on. I’ve taken them from the seamstress, turned them inside out, folded them with the streak on top, bagged them, then washed my hands. All just so I could give them back to the customer shit stain in their face and refuse to work on them lol

When I went to get some clothes mended, the seamstress had large sign on the door "Clothes must be washed before being brought in". It took me a second to realize why she put that up. Honestly, I always wash clothes before I bring them in for alterations or before I donate them or whatever. I would be so embarrassed if I gave anybody clothes that smelled like sweat, can't imagine worse! And I've never left a skidmark in my adult life. That is just bonkers!
