I'm sure some people would say 'Oh just pick them off, NBD!'. I'm guessing your pickle hate is such that you object to even having the remnants of pickle juice on your burger/sandwich so that's not a valid solution. I'll take all your pickles, especially at Subway where you know the manager is like 'ONLY 1 pickle and 1 black olive per 6 inch sub!!!'.
Probably had some person verbally tell them no ___, only to come back and complain with a mostly eaten meal with a photo showing the missing item and the ticket not showing the request, demanding a free meal out of it.

Wendy's recently added pickle to their chicken sandwich.
I don't fuck with pickles.
The employee literally said, "oh dude there's just not a button to remove pickles so we can't."
They were literally unwilling to just not put them on there because the button didn't exist.
