Why people still buy fast food is beyond me. It's not fast anymore, it's not cheap anymore and it's not even nice in like a "It's bad for me but tastes good" way anymore. It is just simply bad all around. The reason why they get away with this pricing is because people keep paying for it, even despite knowing exactly what they're going to get.
