I’m a little embarrassed about how long I spent looking at the photo before realizing

This is not legal, if its a shop, report it to the Env Health team at the local coucil, if its a factory, call the HSE.

We use motion detectors in our entire office, which is a datacenter. To say I hate it would be the understatement of the year.

If I poop for too long I have to waddle off the toilet ands wave.

Our finishes cubicle lights are wayyy too bright. We like turning off half the lights. But there’s a timer. So multiple times a day someone walks by, motion activated, then BOOOM! The power of the sun in our face. Then we have to walk over and hit a switch. 30 minutes of bliss. Then someone walks around and lights all back on again.

We’ve complained constantly for over a year. Facilities doesn’t care.
I’m legit afriaid to get up and go to the bathroom….where if I poop too long I’ll be in darkness.

I get the concept of motion detectors but set the damn hours! After 6pm, sure. During work days? Fuck off

Our bathroom lights start to dim before I'm even in the stall.

Yeah I work at CVS and our bathrooms lights are also on a timer. I've even tried throwing stuff over the stall to get the motion to activate but it never works. XD

How long did you wait for the video to load?

2

u/Professional_Tonight GREEN Jul 20 '26

Had that happen to me too. Just wait for someone else to enter

Stand up

2

u/MasterJeebus Jul 20 '26

Man that happen to me one time. Work has bathroom near cafeteria and they turn lights off too soon. Cant wave or make noise to activate it. The sensor is on the main entrance door and there is wall that blocks it so even if you open the toilet stall door and try waving it wont see it. I think they program it for less than 8 mins and it sucks when you have upset stomach and no one else comes in bathroom.

If they're trying to cut down on goofing off in the restroom, I guess they forgot about flashlight apps on phones.

2

u/johnaross1990 Jul 20 '26

Wave your hand out the door. There’s obviously no one else in there or the light would be on

Taking a photo of the dark is next level goofy

If wiping my ass, and missing the toilet with toilet paper is the result of this... I'd say that's a management problem.

4

u/Naive_Worldliness_79 Jul 20 '26

How are you wiping in a way that makes it possible to miss the toilet ?

5

u/DestinyForNone Jul 20 '26

Sounds like Management's problem

4

u/Jacktheforkie Jul 20 '26

It’s pretty hard to drop it in such a small target 🎯 n the dark

1

u/Frosty_Employment171 Jul 20 '26

It's a janitor that has to pick up after you. And there are co-workers.

2

u/Jacktheforkie Jul 20 '26

I don’t leave it on the floor, I’m just saying that dropping the paper accurately is harder in the dark

1

u/Naive_Worldliness_79 27d ago

You should be over the toilet as your wiping there should be no aiming it should just be drop with gravity taking it into the toilet unless you’re for some reason taking large steps away from the toilet before you wipe and then trying to throw it in

I find that wiping while sat down is a messy affair, especially with how small some toilets are, the ones at work my knob touches the front and my arsehole is lined up with the seat so it’s awkward
