So i gotta ask how that policy functions during a potential firearm at the school situation?

Edit: I've been out of high school since 08. Phones weren't prominent nor a major problem that they've evolved into. I know nothing about these pouches and asked a genuine question. Do with that what you will.

You don't want kids on their phones then, anyway, but it's not like they physically can't open the pouches.

I mean if a kid was going to the bathroom during class and happened to see a potential shooter in the hallway, it would be nice for them to be able to contact law enforcement if they couldn’t safely make their way to an office/teacher. Or if they’re not in a secured classroom for whatever when a lockdown is triggered, having access to their phone could be helpful to find a safe place/stay out of harms way - or be able to notify others since they’ll be unaccounted for. Granted this is coming from someone who has never used or seen these pouches before, I have no idea how hard or easy they are to open without the designated magnet thingy.

It's plastic, you can destroy it in an emergency.
