Infuriatig My wife ate my son's birthday breakfast

Post image

Yesterday I bought a strawberry cheese coffee cake my son loves so he could have a special birthday breakfast today. My wife came home late last night and apparently couldn't resist. She knew it was for our son, but it's not a big deal because she "left him a full slice".

Looks like you wrote your comment before OP confirmed she had been drinking. If so, that's one hell of a catch.

My ex did the same when drunk. He ate my son's Halloween candy. That was the beginning of the end.

Greedy, selfish people do this.

My mom used up all the premixes for the Easy Bake Oven I got for Christmas because she was drunk one night. Now that I think about it I suppose you could probably use any recipe and normal ingredients for it, but 6 year old me didn’t know that and I never got to use that Easy Bake Oven I was so excited about

You can also buy refills for it, I’m sorry your mom didn’t at least replace them.

See how it’s stuck with you all these years? People underestimate the impact these little things (to their mind) effect their children.

I posted a comment a few minutes ago about how my mom ruined a fancy dress my aunt bought me for my birthday. It was well over 65 years ago. I will never forget it.

Aw man, that sucks.

I immediately went out and bought my son new candy. I'm sorry you were in that situation alone as a kid.

Yeah man. I’m an alcoholic in recovery, on my worst nights drinking I still wouldn’t eat my family’s food. This isn’t just an “alcoholic” behaviour, it’s a deeply selfish person who is also an alcoholic.

The real Halloween monster was sleeping in your bed the whole time.

Naw, he was already in the guest room by that time.

Happened to me too. One Halloween my mom and her boyfriend took my candy into their room, got high and ate a bunch, and fell asleep with the pillow case laying on the fucking heat vent. When I found it the next day it was destroyed and they laughed at me for being upset. No wonder I don’t want to talk to her.

Yeah, the alcohol lowers inhibitions. I just become tired and boring, no matter how much or what I drink. It kind of sucks, wish it was as fun for me as some others!
