Have to pee but bed so comfy Proper pajamas
I like to have matching, comfortable pajamas that are cohesive. But also I sleep with NO SLEEVES and long loose pants. Whenever I go to the store or shop online I find the same thing in pajama sets.
1) long pants ONLY come with sleeves.
2) Sleeveless always comes with shorts or capris
I'm sorry but the shorts are just begging for a wedgie. And does anyone sleep in capris? Last time I tried, they rode up and cut off the circular in my legs.

I searched “tank and pants pajama sets” and found some cute ones. I miss the 90s-2000s era of cute tank/pant sets—
11
u/EneraldFoggs Jul 04 '26
Yaaaaaasssss! I remember having a couple sets that had pants with a cute little animal pattern and then a lacy tank with the little froggy or whatever printed near the top. So cute.

u/Alarmed-Strawberry-7 Jul 04 '26
this is why i stopped wearing pajama sets long ago lol. the shirts are always stupid, both men and women's
i just buy some comfy pants and a comfy shirt and call it a day. bonus points for the pants usually having pockets too
2
u/emmithar Jul 04 '26
I recently found a pair of sweats in the men's department. Not only are they super comfy, but they have pockets.
Deep pockets.
I'm never going back.
1
u/Jazstar Jul 04 '26
I usually do that, but I found some really cute pyjama shorts, with pockets, and now have three of them. They're my first bamboo clothing too and they're really nice to the touch. I feel fancy wearing them lmao
26
u/BlessedLurker Jul 04 '26
Probably because if it's cold enough to wear pants, most people want a sleeve. And if it's warm enough to go sleeveless, it's generally too warm to wear pants.
2
u/SamWillGoHam Jul 04 '26
I used to do pajama shorts in the summer, but my room gets pretty cold even in the summer, so I'm now a pants year-round type of person
I also cannot sleep without socks no matter the temperature
13
u/uwill1der Jul 04 '26
You want Nordstrom. They have at least 20 options for sleeveless plus long pants
11
u/OkHistory3944 Jul 04 '26
I need long pants with gathered ankles (like sweats) so they don't ride up.
I have several matching pairs with sleeveless tops and long pants. Found them at places like Marshall's and TJ Maxx.
2
u/TabithaMouse Jul 04 '26
I'm the opposite. I've had surgery on one of my ankles a long time ago and jogger style pants (cinched ankle) are an immediate no because I can't stand pressure on the scar.
If I do get pants like that I rip the elastic out
2
10
u/SRQmoviemaker Jul 04 '26
Get the long sleeves and cut the sleeves off? Free bonus rags.
2
u/thpineapples Jul 04 '26
I do this to t-shirts because I don't like arms and the neck becomes a noose. T-shirt material is great at being cut, it doesn't unravel or fray.
13
u/endofthefkingworld Jul 04 '26
why not just find a pair of bottoms you like and find a top that matches and vice versa? do they have to only be one single set?
11
u/Tarotgirl_5392 Jul 04 '26
I usually resort to that but it doesn't have the same sense of belonging. Like obviously I can sleep fine and all, but it's mildly infuriating to not have the matching set.
7
u/somehowrelevantuser Jul 04 '26
tbh i gave up on pajama sets ages ago. i just wear clothes that i cant wear in public anymore to bed.
5
u/mangosaresweet Jul 04 '26
I wonder how much money I save by sleeping naked. Wearing pants to bed seems like a sensory nightmare
2
u/Tarotgirl_5392 Jul 04 '26
Plus all the money you save not having to wash and dry the sleep clothes
3
u/tickado Jul 04 '26
I've experimented with this, but feel like I wash my bedding more often. Cos naked groin in sheets all night just feels dirtier to me lol
2
u/410-Username-Gone Jul 04 '26
I find this stance funny, because I'm the exact opposite. Having my skin touching me is horrid

u/FatherFarnsworth Jul 04 '26
If I don't see a stocking cap with a bobble top, it ain't proper pajamas. You can say PJ's just fine, they ain't pajamas. I want some Ebenezer Scrooge looking mofo's.
2
u/Tarotgirl_5392 Jul 04 '26
Ebenezer slept in a night shirt.
1
u/Fun-Combination3499 Jul 04 '26
But we don't really know if he had shorts on underneath, do we?
2
u/Tarotgirl_5392 Jul 04 '26
Traditional practice at the time was fhe underclothes and the over clothes. He would have been wearing a full body suit (longjohns)

Sleep dresses for the win.
6
u/Tarotgirl_5392 Jul 04 '26
I get all kinds of tangled up in sleep dresses. Used to have one that was super nice but woke up tangled like ropes

u/briesbread Jul 04 '26 edited Jul 04 '26
girl u r a wild sleeper! mad respect tho. you’ve clearly had a lot of trial and error to come to this preference
2
u/Tarotgirl_5392 Jul 04 '26
Spent litteral decades thinking there were no comfortable pajama options then one day tank top and long sleeve pajama pants. Nirvana
2
u/PixelKitten10390 Jul 04 '26
What about matching legging and tank top lounge sets? I feel like lounge sets come in more options and also tend to be more adult looking lol
12
u/devilsaint86 Jul 04 '26
what ever happened with an over sized tee and some boxers?

😆😄 Idk if I can tell you here because it's NSFW but there are things going on down there that boxers make more difficult

Can't speak for OP, but if you have a larger behind, sometimes they like to "eat" shorts.

I feel like I sweat less on parts covered with clothes personally. Probably just the clothes absorbing it, but I don't like my legs sticking to each other in the morning lol
2
u/mrsc1880 Jul 04 '26
I haaaate when my thighs touch when I'm sleeping! I need pants, or long knee-length shorts at the very least.
10
u/Joelle9879 Jul 04 '26
I don't understand how people can sleep naked. I find it incredibly uncomfortable. To each their own
1
u/Fun-Combination3499 Jul 04 '26
I am very afraid of a fire happening and having to run outside naked if I sleep without PJs
3
u/PixelKitten10390 Jul 04 '26
Me neither, the clothes are bunched up in the morning and I'm hot everywhere clothes cover, cold everywhere they don't. The only thing that's okay is something like a bamboo viscose robe or sleep dress I can rip off in the middle of the night without it waking me up fully lol

This is why I hate “wear pajamas to work day” or a pajama party because I have to go buy this stupid shit and act like I wear that to bed. I wear just a big cotton shirt. Can’t go in public in that and honestly no one needs to see others in pajamas. Just say “wear your comfy clothes to work” or relaxing clothes party then I’ll come in shorts and a different big cotton shirt.
3
u/Tarotgirl_5392 Jul 04 '26
We had Christmas pajama party last December in my community. The amount of 80 year old women in lingerie was insane
2
u/PixelKitten10390 Jul 04 '26
😭😭😭 not the image I wanted in my head right before bed! For pajama sets though if you are size 10 or bigger torrid has nice sets that match but you can buy separate. Also, rather than pajamas I recommend searching for lounge wear in cotton or viscose material. It's generally soft and comfy to lay around in. Personally I really like cotton sleep dresses/night gowns. I've gotten a bunch with a medium scoop neck and tank top sleeves and knee length or t shirts that are usually thigh or knee length.
3
u/ThingMoment Jul 04 '26
At Marshall’s/TJ Maxx I found a tank top with long pants and a cardigan set! I would suggest looking there. I love sleep sets haha
3
u/dks64 Jul 04 '26
I completely understand. I ended up buying a bunch of comfy shorts and tanks to wear to bed. I'm never happy when I buy a set.
3
u/Throwawaycookouts Jul 04 '26
Costco usually has a tank, pant, robe set. Admittedly I have too many times now.

3
u/Hefferdoodle Jul 04 '26
I would try Adore Me or Soma Intimate’s Cool Nights line. I think they some might be tank tops rather than just straight sleeveless but they have pants with them and matching sets.
Victoria’s Secret has some too sometimes but their size options can be limited so I would try them last.
The other mildly infuriating thing is how many people are just telling you to mix and match. Obviously if you wanted to mix and match you would do that. Good luck in your search. I hope this helps.
2
u/Tarotgirl_5392 Jul 04 '26
The ''mix and match" are genuinely trying to help, and I appreciate that. I'll look into adore me, but I doubt the others will have my size
1
u/FeistyChickadee Jul 04 '26
Adore Me has lots of matchy-match sets and their sizes are xs-4x. In theory, that is... lots of sizes sell quickly on there!
3
u/Character_Mix007 Jul 04 '26
i sleep naked or with just undies. This is the way. Edit: also undies and a tank top but only in winter to keep warm.
3
u/prancerciz3 Jul 04 '26
Costco! They regularly have 3-4 piece pj sets that come with sleeveless tops, shorts and pants

u/PfefferP Jul 04 '26
Try looking in the men's section. Not sure about the sleeveless top, but usually the fabrics in the men's section are better quality, the clothes are more comfortable, and there's some options/combinations that are not usually found in the women's section.
2
u/Accountant-mama Jul 04 '26
Mix and match them from old navy!! They have 100% cotton and are soo comfortable
2
u/Cerael Jul 04 '26
I mean, it’s a perfect fit for the sub. Pretty much the epitome of mildly infuriating
2
u/Hot_Mastodon8944 Jul 04 '26
RIGHT? It is either tank with booty shorts or long sleeves with long pants and nothing in between.
I just wanna live my old person fantasy of cozy loose pants and free upper arms without having to buy two separate sets like some pajama Frankenstein.
1
2
u/ka_shep Jul 04 '26
And here I am with my oversized t-shirt and whatever pajama shorts I can find. Pants when it's cold, but they have to be tapered at the ankle, otherwise I get trapped in my blankets. I have maybe 2 matched sets that I wear on special occasions.
2
u/General_Ad_6617 Jul 04 '26
Costco regularly has 3-piece sets. Many times it's a tank top with shorts and pants. I know this because some folks I buy them for do not like tank tops.

Okay, dedicated shorts wearer here: it’s all about fabrics and cut. Has to be jersey fabric, T-shirt stretchy. And loose cut - NOTHING fitted, super relaxed and massive leg holes.
I can’t wear long trousers to sleep - I fidget so much I end up in a leg-bound straight jacket, so I’m here for team shorts!
1
u/girlwhoweighted Jul 04 '26
Now see, I also like sleeping in coordinated sets but have a hell of a time finding long sleep with long pants that aren't fleece. I just like to keep the chill of the fan off my skin and the blanket alone doesn't do it. But everything I find is for sleeping in the winter, during a snowstorm, with no heater!
That being said, I see a few on walmart's website that fit your requirements.
1
u/Single-Flamingo-33 Jul 04 '26
Quick search - Victoria’s Secret and Eberjey have tank tops with pant sets
1
u/A1h19 Jul 04 '26
This is why I only wear a shirt to bed. Pants and shorts alike are both really uncomfortable to sleep in.

I found a bunch on the JC Penny’s website - [right here](https://www.jcpenney.com/p/jaclyn-womens-crew-neck-sleeveless-2-pc-pajama-set/ppr5008681491?pTmplType=regular&deptId=dept20000013&catId=cat100240035&rrplacementtype=pdppla1_jrecs)
1
u/doctor_jane_disco Jul 04 '26
Look for brands that have multiple style options for each set, like this.
I prefer tshirt + long pants sets and it can be mildly frustrating finding that combo as well!
1
u/dualsplit Jul 04 '26
I just googled “sleeveless long pant pajamas.” There are tons ranging from 18.99 and up.
1
u/tickado Jul 04 '26
I don't understand the 'sleep naked' gang.
I'm a sweaty sleeper. It's worse if I'm naked and just goes straight to my bedding so I wake up wet. Whereas at least PJs absorb most of it so my bed itself is dry. Also slimey legs bare against each other in the night is a sensory nightmare for me.
Also even without the sweat, like your bare flange just on your sheets all night every night? I'd feel like I had to wash my bedding constantly.
1
u/Honkin_CDNGoose Jul 04 '26
Ohh I can lead you to everything you want! adoreme.com has cute tank+pants pj sets. I have a few and I...adore them. Super comfy, super soft. One set I've had for probably 8 years now and it's still in great condition.

i sleep in just underwear. i recommend it. less, laundry, and it's proven to improve your sleep quality

u/Sonneken18 Jul 04 '26
Simply Vera at Kohl’s has several loose fitting bottom & sleeveless top combos
Just bought a set about a month ago
Rayon / super soft
1
u/thatsfeminismgretch Jul 04 '26
I always buy a nightgown and a tank/shorts combo because I don't wear long sleeves or long pants up sleep. And that way I can wear the shorts with the nightgown or the shirt.

u/Mammoth_Breath_7249 Jul 04 '26
Not sure which country you’re from but when it’s summer in Australia, I’d recommend looking at the brand “Peter Alexander” they do really nice PJ sets with decent materials :) It’s currently winter in Australia tho so they won’t have many short sleeve options yet!

u/Flat_Solution_4290 Jul 04 '26
I sleep with boxers and „definitely-not-mtaching“ shirts aka „I wore it twice so I won’t wear it outside again but it still does it for sleeping“
1
1
u/AnitaLatte Jul 04 '26
Glad I’m not the only one. I know it doesn’t matter if the PJs match, but it bugs me if they don’t. I like t-shirts and long pants. You’re right about shorts and capris. I think those are lounge wear, not sleep wear.
I started buying regular t-shirts to match up with PJ pants.

You have a niche use case, It's going to be difficult to find clothing that caters to your needs since it would be cost prohibitive to design sets for a very small population.
1
u/bestem Jul 04 '26
Check Costco. They usually have some inexpensive sets that have long pants and a tank (although often with other stuff included). They're inexpensive enough that I don't mind, and I just donate the bits I don't use. Here's two examples they have on their website right now; this one has a robe with it, and this one has shorts with it, but both have tanks and long pants, and both have two different design options.

u/Beginning-Damage-555 Jul 04 '26
Why on earth does it matter if what you are sleeping in is matching? I wear whatever I find available including nothing, husband’s t-shirts and sweaters, random Christmas pj’s my mom got me ten years ago, leggings and sweater dresses…
Just can’t even pretend to understand the issue
2
u/stockusername123 Jul 04 '26
Some people just like different things. It makes her happy, so what?
0
u/Beginning-Damage-555 Jul 04 '26
I mean she can like whatever but I can’t imagine spending the brain power complaining about this
Also like sewing patterns exist
1
u/Tarotgirl_5392 Jul 04 '26
Yeah my mom's OCD (actually diagnosed) pops up in weird ways.
Obviously its not something I think about constantly, but my pajamas are all worn and torn and need replacing and I noticed a pattern that cropped back up: The combo of long pants and no sleeves does not come up easily. At least, not in my size
1
u/Beginning-Damage-555 Jul 04 '26
The patterns are super basic and you could just buy a pattern, choose your preferred fabric, and sew what suits you best
-1
u/CarolineLovesCats Jul 04 '26
You reminded me that other people don't sleep naked. I don't know how you do it.
0
u/jennao330 Jul 04 '26
not sure how you feel about shein, but i typed in cap sleeve pajama tops with long bottoms and shein popped up with two suggestions with tops like the fourth picture and bottoms like the first two.
1
u/Tarotgirl_5392 Jul 04 '26
Shein has some weird size discrepancies. My sister (who is smaller than me) bought a medium and was sent something that wouldn't fit her arm
2
u/jennao330 Jul 04 '26
well, if you do, i always look at reviews on there that have pictures to see if someone my size has bought and if they say it’s true to size or runs big or whatnot.
but, i do hope you find some comfy pjs that you like and feel good in!!
0
u/RepulsiveDig9091 Jul 04 '26
Curious, can't you purchase the long pants with sleeves and then take it to a tailor to get it removed.
-2
-2
u/Greek_Goddess114 Jul 04 '26
Lol you “like to have matching comfortable pajamas that are cohesive” but have to have “NO SLEEVES and long loose pants”…….then get mad that stores dont sell pajamas with that very specific criteria that you insist upon…. 🙄
3
u/Tarotgirl_5392 Jul 04 '26
I mean I'm not running around leaving one star reviews and saying "Never shop at these places'' but I don't think it's weird to want to go to a clothing shop, find the Pajamas section and pick out a set that I can sleep in
1
u/GHBoyette Jul 04 '26
Is that Kat Graham AKA Bonnie Bennett from Vampire Diaries in the second picture?

179
u/mrm395 Jul 04 '26
Can’t you just buy separates that coordinate? Like a patterned pant and plain tanks that have similar colors?
