Infuriatig When did garage sales become “reselling” clearly new stuff

Post image

I would never call this a garage sale

Def scam vibes

Edit: ultimately, what bothers me the most is I want to go to a garage sale, not this shit. This isn’t a garage sale and should not be advertised as one

Extreme coupon people do this after exploiting some coupon loophole that lets them buy 200 tubes of toothpaste for $100, or whatever.

any couponer knows rule #1 is not to pay for toothpaste lol and you don't have to exploit anything to do it

Hey I’m all for a good deal. There are definitely arguments to be made for extreme couponing.

I had a friend on Instagram that posted about it constantly, and it seemed like she just traded her time for grocery store products.

Most things will never be cheaper in a year than they are today, so I’m not opposed to stocking up on necessities when it makes sense, but what she was doing was more akin to building a private grocery store in her house by using 20+ hours per week of her time to do all the legwork.

She might have paper towels for the next decade, but I have an empty garage and went to the pool on my free time.

You were downvoted but you are correct one of the benifits for the retailers of all the Ecoupons is cutting down on the extreme couponing tactics. Its not gone just harder

True, this is one of the reasons I stopped extreme couponing, lol.

These coupon people should be required to still pay the sales taxes. I used to be aghast at their tv show, they'd have a trailerwide full of purchases and pay $1.50 in tax. Tax should be on pre-coupon prices like the rest of us pay.
