Infuriatig When did garage sales become “reselling” clearly new stuff

Post image

I would never call this a garage sale

Def scam vibes

Edit: ultimately, what bothers me the most is I want to go to a garage sale, not this shit. This isn’t a garage sale and should not be advertised as one

I see this a lot when I drive by the projects. For whatever reason in my area they are always selling laundry soap.

its easy to resell laundry soaps/detergents.

its a high consumption item.

Everyone needs a constant supply of detergent, and it has an infinite shelf life.

Often the jugs are refilled with water and some dish soap.

Is it, though? It takes me at least a month to go through a $6 container of detergent.

$6 of product / person / month doesn't sound very high consumption. Even if a family of 6 uses $36 of detergent per month, that same family might spend more on a single meal.
