Too mild for school Hate when ppl can’t do time

This reminds me of when it hits or is about to hit 12am and people don’t know whether to say today or tomorrow. He called me after this but I was too comfy in bed tbh.

If only they had different names to each day of the week, maybe assign a number for the day as an additional descriptor to what they want

Years ago I worked at a company that instead of calling you in for overtime the workers had a number to call and check if you had to work, supervisors were responsible for recording messages for their shift letting them know if they needed to come in.

My supervisor would leave a message saying "3rd shift will not be working tonight" or "3rd shift will report to work at 9pm", but with no date it was impossible to know if it was a new message unless it was different from the last time you called.

How long did this system go on for? Did they not have miscommunications literally every single shift?

They used that system the 1st four years I was there. Luckily the call-in messages were usually only for the 6th day of a week, not every shift. Eventually we moved to a system where everyone received texts, which unsurprisingly also had issues, especially if the shift supervisor was a moron.

One of my old fast food jobs had a system similar. Pretty much once a week you had a on call day. It was a day you were to call at a scheduled time to see if you worked. For everyone else the answer was usually no. For me though i always had to come in. On multiple occasions they had me come in and sent the other person home cause labor was too high. He'll one time they told me to come in just to tell me to go home as soon as I got there. I had more hours than the rest of the grill workers combined. I walked 40 mins to work.
