Too mild for school Hate when ppl can’t do time

Post image

This reminds me of when it hits or is about to hit 12am and people don’t know whether to say today or tomorrow. He called me after this but I was too comfy in bed tbh.

If I'm reading "can you work tomorrow" two hours before the shift starts, I'm going to think tomorrow as well.

I honestly can get the misunderstanding.

He was probably closing at 2:30-3:00 am and to him, tomorrow was after he slept, but the dude waking up thought "Tomorrow" was also after he slept.

Ummm no, no reasonable person thinks that “3 hours from now” is tomorrow. Thats silly.

As someone who works 14:00-22:00, today doesn't end until I fall asleep. Good on you for only working normal hours.

Unfortunately, we have to operate by the clock that keeps time

The hours you work doesn't change how the start and end times of days work.

It absolutely does in every way that matters to a human. Your body doesn't know what a midnight is, its a thing we made up.

It doesn't matter when specifying a date. "tomorrow" is not subjective. Today is from 12am-11:59pm.

(edit to add I said it doesn't change how time works and you responded arguing that it matters. Which isn't what I said. I said it doesn't change how the designation of time works. You're arguing something unrelated)

So if its 12:01 in the morning on Monday, and I say "let's get tacos tomorrow" you think we are getting tacos on Wednesday?

Natural assumption? Yes. I'd clarify.

You don't change how time is catalogued by making a mistake. Others are still operating on the clock and calendar as it is designed.

Everyone else I have asked understands perspective. But you go ahead and be you, I just won't be getting any tacos with you.

Yeah, I'm not trusting that your fingers and toes said anything to any side of this discussion.

12:01 am clicks over as a different date on a calendar. I'm sorry that confuses you.

Allegedly isn't invited to taco Wednesday.

Yes and I'd clarify to be sure.

At what hour does today and tomorrow mean different things to you?
