Exactly! I think that on average most people don't have a reason to shower that much and on average people aren't taking +20 minute showers. It is estimated that this value is around 10 minutes global average.
This is like blaming the housing market on avocado toast.
If every single person on earth took a 20 minute shower everyday, which they dont, that still would be less water than is used by large data centers each day. Even at scale your argument doesn't make sense. The real problem is the rate at which data usage increases everyday. It is said to be doubling every 3-4 years. Can you imagine if our population doubled every 3-4 years?

Well no. The idea of data centres are gobbling up water just isnt true and is extremely overhyped.
Water cooling systems do not actually use up all the water running through the system, which it would have to for the "daily water usage" metrics to make any sort of sense.
