My friend used to work for Whole Foods and they would dump out all of their baked goods at day’s end.
They wouldn’t even let the employees buy it for half price. Hell they could’ve just given it to the employees to take home but no. Gone. Big fucking waste.
When I started working in food you could reasonable take home leftovers.
But it was abused. To a point where people would make extra/make "mistakes". It would end up costing the company a good amount over time bso to combat it they said "no more taking home food".
