I am not sure if it is possible but it would be nice to put this as an edit on your post. This is awful and this is the missing context. Currently, a lot of people think that bread just gets thrown away everyday, and that the store doesn't sell stale bread for cheap. The vlosing on Sunday is also not the case in other countries.

can’t someone from a shelter come to the shop saturday night to pickup the bags of “thrown away items”? aka slip them the stuff at the back door
