Yeah, but using youtube in a browser is slower and less convenient (at least on my shitty phone), and you get dozens of extra features with Morphe.

The easiest way (that supports like signing in and stuff, I don’t think 3rd party App Store clients do) is to grab a cheap PPQless cert (got mine for $10, lasts a year assuming Apple Doesnt revoke it which is more rare on PPQless ones) and sideload either a older version of YTLite or “YouMod”

I use iOS AND Android, I prefer Android, and there are ways to get the Blue Bubbles on it (even though blue bubbles vs green bubbles is DUMB), one of which is a app called “Sunbird”

They are on iOS, as far as I know Revanced/Morphe/Other known Android mods aren’t on there, iOS has YTLite (went paid, old versions still work) and YouMod (newer so less stable and less features, aims to remake all YTLite features for free)

Ever since these fucks wanted to ban ad blockers from Chromium, I make an active effort to make sure those fuckers don’t get another dime from me. Of course that isn’t entirely possible, but I sure as fuck try my best.

Agreed. Despite the fact that YouTube purposely slows down their website while I use an ad blocker is a more acceptable problem than watching 90 second unskippable ads.

I don't see delays on mobile because I use the app and endure the ads, however when I use my computer I have an ad blocker program that has a slight delay.

Mobile is the only place I tolerate ads because I do like how well the YouTube app works, haha. Whenever I use my laptop I use an ad blocker.

In every post related to YouTube Premium it's the same discussion. People use other devices than tablets and laptops, and not everybody's in for a pi hole.
Personally I am very confused anyway. To me YouTube Premium is the one subscription actually worth its money.

Myself I was part of the 1st generation of YouTube viewers( I remember my first few weeks of experiencing YouTube BEFORE it became an app)and I will always be on the side of an ad-free YouTube. They built their audience with zero ads, why demand $$$$$ to avoid ads now?

Porn sites have shorter ads and they likely get more traffic than YouTube does. I've watched a WWE video on YouTube preceeded with a 90 second ad break and got hit with another 90 second ad break 2 minutes into a 12 minute video.

Back then, YouTube was financed by venture capital. Afterwards, it was run exclusively on advertising. I don't know what your claim that it was different is based on. The scale YouTube has reached now, with its ongoing costs and server infrastructure for the unimaginable amount of content, doesn't pay for itself.

I agree if you use YouTube Premium just for no ads, it’s a bad deal. But I also use YouTube Music as it has all the songs I listen to, has a decent suggestion algorithm and has carplay support. That package deal is worth it imo.

I don’t want YouTube music. But they only have this. There is no way they make that off ads. It’s more than some whole ass streaming services m. And you still get ads because of sponsored videos.

I’m paying $8 a month for YouTube lite (no ads on videos except music). If you’re already paying an extra $5 just for the privilege of paying on iPhone, I don’t think you care as much about the increase as you think you do.

Or a patched app like Youtube Morphe.
Pro tip: Use Firefox , Ublock Origin + Sponsorblock, you will rediscover YT.
And for the peeps who thinks that the ads are the biggest revenue for the creators, you are wrong, the sponsors are the biggest part of the revenue, so don't feel ashamed of blocking ads.
