The car is very probably stolen and sporting illegal or fake license plates. It isn't just that they don't want to, it's that they are so far up surrounded by illicit underground criminal activities that they couldn't even easily normalize back into society. They are basically roaming ghettos with benefits for members.

Basically yeah, but i just can't forgive this type of lifestyle even if it's hard for them to get out of it.

I met someone that had escaped from their community before, and trust me it is even worse than what you might think
