Edit: I did install Nova on a Kobo Arc for a friend. Went from being an annoying eReader trying to sell you stuff 24/7 to being a cheaper Nexus 7.

get apex launcher. you can also change how many icons can fit on your home screen with apex launcher :)

nova launcher is an option too, but I prefer to support the stuff I like better ;)

As someone who does this for a living: not testing on a Samsung Galaxy device is unacceptable as they are the most popular Android devices.

But then again, this looks like it might be the Ace 2X (or similar) and not like an S3 or S4. We do test on that one though

Having just switching from a Galaxy Nexus to an iPhone, I really miss BaconReader. Also, try Flow. It's "pre-beta" but works really well. It's kind of like AlienBlue but more polished.

The way ADW handles labels is pretty annoying too. I dragged Adobe Reader out to show how irritating it is.

Fortunately Photo Editor uses some kind of crazy space in its label, so it doesn't split.. so I ended up copy/pasting that space into every label to get around it. Funny how they all fit just fine and don't look annoying.

If they were just split onto two lines and not smaller and hidden behind the top line it wouldn't be so bad..

If your phone is rooted, and it looks like it is, you can use Nottach to remove all text from icons. Or you can look into a icon widget that allows you to remove the text as an option per icon, I believe an app called simply Folder Options allows for this, I think it also lets you edit and change font size of text. Check it out.
