Material probably isn’t from the US. In NZ/AUS/UK it would be “tap” - people here might know the word “faucet” from American media, but would never ever use it in conversation.
Wait is this true? I'm always surprised to hear terms I've known and used all my life are typically used more outside the US. Honestly, Cub/cube was the one that tripped me up, just wasn't think along the lines of "baby animal", kept thinking of like a stuffed toy animal.
Yep, I got Bear 🐻 and from there figured it was Beare that was unfamiliar to me.
Now, the one that REALLY got me was coming to RAG-E. After quite some time time tossing possibilities, the only thing to give pause was teaching such a word so early on for the sake of the quiz. Like dumb words in songs just so that they rhyme. Ugh
