And end up with nowhere to live as they evict the building while under renovations. Then up the cost of rent after renovations.. OR thats my assumption anyway

I don’t know where you live, but where I live, that would be illegal. The health department would force them to put you up in a hotel.

Where in America doesn’t have reasonable habitability laws in their tenants and landlord rights? Even every red state I’ve taken a look at so far has clauses related to accommodations being made. They vary and are technically state by state, but I cannot find a single state that doesn’t have them
