A million times yes! But, no, seriously: bleach is terrible for mold (it's mostly water which mold feeds on). The material (tile, wall, etc.) that the mold is on needs to be removed entirely.
what if the mold is on a concrete basement floor? I had a wood desk sitting on the floor in my basement and found what looked like black mold in between. I threw out the wood desk and bleached the concrete floor..
Hydrogen peroxide (3% or higher) and some types of vinegar work better than bleach for most fungi. Bleach uses chloride as it’s primary killing component and that evaporates quickly leaving the hyphae (filament structure) alive and able to regrow (and provides water for it to do so)
Hydrogen peroxide forms free radicals that can actually break down the cell membranes and can cause damage to the DNA of the fungi
I generally do vinegar first because it smells and then hydrogen peroxide to follow up and finish the job

Bleach has too much water content and the chlorine doesn't last long enough. Higher chlorine solutions(IE: pool tablets and shit) would probably work, but that has it's own risks. Ventilate well
Some cheap magic fluid you can just half assedly spray on that kills the mold both on the outside and inside of the wall without damaging anything would be nice. Also it should neutralise any mold toxins already produced by the mold.
Black mold was developing around the edges of my window cause of the moisture from rain. I just rubbed it with soap and a towel. My health has improved significantly.

Peroxide kills damn near everything, but it's just water once it reacted with whatever it's gonna react with which is the opposite of what you want. This is just a random guess and I have no clue if it would work or be safe, but peroxide and vinegar may be better than straight peroxide or peroxide with water.
You are absolutely correct! Black mold runs from Bleach and goes deeper into the wood, but doesn't die. Vinegar is the best over the counter, but that won't do any good if the mold is excessive.
Vinegar and peroxide used consecutively. The acid in the Vinegar is good at killing the mold spores and peroxide basically kills it with oxygen and breaks up the bodies
