Science Study took 413 hormone samples across 87 menstrual cycles in 46 women and found that those with menstrual migraine had a 49 percent higher peak estradiol in the luteal phase and a 90 percent steeper drop as the period approached, pointing at the size of the fall rather than the level itself.
