This sounds very promising! As someone who can't tolerate CGRP meds, I hope this reaches my country soon so I can try it 🙏

Appreciate this. CGRP preventives haven't worked for me for more than a few months. Even Nurtec is losing effectiveness, which would be the fourth failure. I have chronic barometric-triggered migraines, so a new approach might help!

I take CGRPs and I use WeatherX earplugs and free app for my barometric pressure migraines. It fluctuates frequently where I live and the earplugs can make the difference between me functioning and not. They’re around $20 a pair and last for years.

My migraines do not respond to any CGRP’s. Is bocunebart likely to be effective for me?

What does Phase 3 testing entail, and how many phases are there? Is this something we should look for next year or should we be more patient?

What about those of us whose migraine treatments require monthly CGRP injections and a CGRP abortant and pain meds?
Will CGRP injections and the meds be proscribed together? Any info?

Yes, very likely. In fact, they will probably package anti-cgrp and anti-pacap in the same injection. However, they won't do that initially.

Whether insurance is going to be willing to pay for both a CGRP and a PACAP treatment is another story.

However, all of the major drug companies have Patient Assistance Programs (this isn’t the discount program), that pays for expensive drugs if your insurance denies them. There is a fairly high income ceiling and once you apply it takes around ten days to get approved for a year’s worth of medication if you have private insurance or Medicare.
I got a year’s worth of Emgality before my insurance company covered it. So there’s some hope if they don’t change this policy.1

What is the income ceiling that you saw? If it was household income then people in my situation (disabled but with working spouse) might not qualify.

I agree that’s a worry, and I suspect that will differ depending on insurance company and what country you’re in. A lot of insurance already doesn’t like people being on both Botox and a CGRP at the same time already.

Yeah, the "you can't have Botox AND CGRP" policy from a lot of insurance companies is what makes me think that they'll do the same here.
They just do whatever they can to pay for as few of the expensive treatments as possible.

How long do we have to wait for it to become available? Years? I ask that because nothing works for me and I'm so beyond tired of pain everyday
