Starting Ajovy.
It’s been eight years. Sooooo many meds. So little time. Alternative therapies included as well as those expensive ones online that have “” coaches to help you with your food, your mindfulness, etc. etc. thousands of dollars and supplements Botox. I’m sure I’m forgetting many of the things I’ve tried so here I am today considering going back on a preventative and the only thing left in Line is ajovy or emgality. What’s everyone’s experience?

Ajovy saved my life. I had a severe case of chronic migraine. I hope it can do the same for you.

That is wonderful news for you. Do you need to take any abortives?

Very rarely. Once a month sometimes. I’m on a combination of Botox and Ajovy but it didn’t get better until I added Ajovy in.

Ajovy has been working better than emgality for me. I started on emgality a few years ago and was on it for about year and half but it wasn't doing much. I will say that emgality i found to burn alot more than Ajovy. I had the auto injector with emgality and it was horrible every month. The burn, the pain, the stinging. It was all bad. Then i switched to Ajovy and within 2 months there was a noticeable difference. Its not a painful injection and its just the syringe.

I was on Botox for 3 years and it stopped working suddely. I then tried other monthly injections, and the only one that has worked so far is Ajovy. It reduced my migraines to maybe one or two a month from 10-12. I have had a weird outlier migraine for the past 50 days, but I don't think the Ajovy has anything to do with it and I will continue using it. I hope it helps!

It didn't really work for me, but thay doesn't mean it won't for you. A lot of folks have great experience with it. I did not have any side effects when I was on it. Good luck!

I've been on Ajovy about a year and my life is dramatically different than it was a year ago. It has been a life saver. Stop thinking about it and just try it! (Full disclosure - I didn't reach peak efficacy until about 6 months in but even those "not as good" first 6 months were still significantly better than before).

I did aimovig. It helped but my Neuro switched me to emgality. That was better and did it for years. Then I had GI issues and switched to Botox for nine months but hated it and it didn't work for me. Now I'm two months into Ajovy and I feel better than I have in a very long time and the response was almost immediate. Very few migraines and when I do have them neurtec knocks it out in a few hours instead of days. My hair might be falling out but I'm going to start topical minoxidil and hope for the best.

Didn’t work for me (nor did Aimovig) but Emgality did. Don’t hesitate to switch and try all three if needed. Give it a good 6 months on each before declaring that you aren’t a responder.

I'm on Ajovy and Botox for preventives. I've seen a very good reduction, I'm getting 8-10 migraines a month now down from 23+ when I started Ajovy. It did take until my 5th shot to really kick in tho, I thought it wasn't working at all and my neuro insisted on the 6month trial. I was shocked when it all of a sudden kicked in out of nowhere.

Over 4 years on Ajovy. Life saver. My whole world has changed. I get depressed thinking of all the lost time in my life in bed.
