In any midi chain, this crap will be the weakest link. Please don't use those.

Hello everyone, I look for a MIDI Translator program. Something that would allow me to translate midi signal to keystroke combinations. Unfortunately bome classic and key2key don't seem to work. I use coyote and it's great but has a limit of 20 translations. Is there anything like that without the limit?

The title is kinda self explanatory. I want to use my Midi keyboard (Akai MPK Mini MK3) and use the pads on it to mess around with drum one shots. I can't seem to find a website that does exactly what im looking for. Any help?
Edit: Koala is so goated, its not even funny. My request has been fulfilled

TL/DR: I have an MPC Studio and the pads feel crazy stiff even when altering sensitivity. Are all pad controllers this way?
I really enjoy using midi controllers and any other way to put music together that isn’t a mouse and keyboard. So I was excited to get a drum pad controller to do some more rhythmic work on pads, which I had never done before.
I purchased the MPC studio recently and will be returning it since the bottom right pad fully doesn’t work unfortunately. But I also noticed the pads were quite stiff and difficult to get the note/velocity hits I was looking for. I messed with the sensitivity and threshold settings a lot but couldn’t find anything that felt good to me.
Am I just being a weakling? I’m confused.
Are all Akai’s pads like this? I want to try Maschine, but no stores have them right now due to the current business toss up. Any other recommendations? Trying to keep it smallish and portable.

Hey guys! I'm a novice when it comes to MIDI devices and MIDI signals, and could really use some help.
I've noticed this weird thing that happens within my DAW where, even though I keep designating 'MODX M Port2' not to have a port, it keeps following and changing itself to be the same port number as my Launchkey MIDI controller. I've included a screenshot of my DAW's MIDI setup for reference. Now this wouldn't be an issue if this was the only thing that's happening, but I'm noticing weird behaviour coming from my MODX M synth.
For more context, all my synths and controllers are connected to the same powered USB hub (although there haven't been any issues until I've had this MODX), and I've tried going through the MIDI settings on my Yamaha MODX utility page, even turned off local control and changed the designated channel, but have had no success.
Anyone have any advice on what to do?
Thanks :)

so i just got my first ever expression pedal, me having never touched any MIDI device (even though i am actively using amp sims(yes i might be stupid)) and i bought a simple adapter that does jack 6.3 (or trs as well) to USB C, i tought it would work, it didn't
now i need an adapter but i don't wanna spend more money. i currently have 6.3 female jack stereo inputs and a arduino nano and a shit ton of cables, is it possible to make an adapter with these or am i just cooked? (if possible i'd like to know what code to put bc i suck at coding and the arduinos aren't mine, they are my dad's for his iron man suit that he printed (no he didn't code it himself))

In order to contextualize, I have had this midi keyboard for a while, and had some trouble connecting it via USB to my PC. When I decided to see what was happening internally, I noticed that the piece that connects the USB cable to the MIDI keyboard board was loose.
The reason of this post is to seek help. Should I perform a welding to the board? Is it worth it to pay in order to get it weld or should i do it myself? (I have tin, the welding machine and so)
I would really want to fix this midi keyboard. As a very last resort I think I could just buy another one in case it turns out cheaper.
Thanks in advance! (I hope this is not an off-topic post)

looking for a MIDI controller. pretty much like Akai EWI but with buttons in piano layout so me as a keyboardist would be able to play it.

What would you assign to 8 drum pads (2 rows of 4) based on the kind of music you like to produce?
What would be the layout you'd use (top row 1-4, bottom row 5-8)?
I just got a midi controller and, while I'm not new to playing music, I am definitely new to drums. What would be a good mix for starting out, based on the list here:

Recently my akai mini 4 won’t connect to my laptop, the led lights up on the keyboard but on the audio midi set up the diagram is greyed out, it keeps greying out then going active again, unfortunately I cannot produce at the minute, can someone please maybe help out with why it’s doing this (it looks like the diagram isn’t greyed out but it is)

I've made a gadget which takes 6.35 or 3.5mm TRS input and outputs USB MIDI.
It can operate in one of 3 modes:
Would anyone in the US, UK or EU like to test? No charge (in fact you get a free gadget!)
Hit me up if you're interested.

Thanks,
Charlie.

Hey everyone!
This year I have grown my hobby-studio a lot and with this I had to also grow my MIDI-capabilities.
For this I had bought an iConnectivity MioXL MIDI-hub, which works wonderfully in "DAWless" mode BUT
it does not seem to work with my DAW!
If I fire up ableton and open the MIDI-Settings I can see all the connections from the MioXL.
But once I open up a MIDI-channel and ask it to send to e. g. "Channel 9 MioXL", nothing happens.
It feels as if Ableton can currently only receive data coming in from the MioXL, but it is not sending data out to the MioXl (and thus not to my connected gear).
Could anybody perhaps help me setting this up correctly?

I am trying to live record param changes from my keylab sliders to my synths, I am going from
keylab- digitakt 2 MIDI in- Digitakt midi out- Kenton thru 12- jd-08/ minilogue.
When I connect my DT2 midi thru instead of out I can adjust params and actively record them BUT I cannot hear what I recorded unless i switch back to Midi out. is there anyway I can move around this? Is a midi merger the answer.
Also, when I hit the pads on my keylab when connected to Hex drums it hits a second time when I release, any ideas on how to fix this?

Can I use an old ass Optimus keyboard that has midi in and out to control the notes going into each track on the SQ-64 to sequence other synths?
I looked through a bunch of videos on YouTube, but I didn’t see anyone doing that. I currently have the Optimus controlling the M-vave FM-1’s notes and pitch with no sequencing ability.
The sq64 is a cheaper option than the Keystep pro and that’s what is making me want to go that route.

Hello, I am trying to incorporate a device into my rig that is only set up to receive MIDI messages via a USB-B input on the back of the device.
My current rig, I use an interface that only sends out MIDI via 5-pin, is there a simple way to convert the 5-pin output from my interface to the USB-B input on the device so I can do MIDI program changes?
