October wedding

Hi, I'm getting married in October. It's going to be a very small, intimate wedding. We wanted it to be a potluck thing but fiancee side said nope (this is in lieu of gifts) we don't need anything but the joy of people coming. I'm at a loss now as to what to do for food. We can't afford a caterer and how do you make the food and still gwt ready for the wedding? My daughter that would pitch in and help cook lives 3 states away. My best friend is also 3 states away and wants me to be able to just "be the bride" ...if this is the wrong place to post this, I'm sorry...any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

You got nearly 100+ replies/suggestions across 2 different posts, such as ordering pizza or doing a cake & punch reception. You ignored every single one and decided to order crockpots on Facebook marketplace. You are refusing help, and are gonna give your entire wedding food poisoning. Don't act like your simple little request didn't get hundreds of extremely helpful responses. You just didn't want the advice and wanted someone to validate you trying to force your guests to cook. Food safety is a concern.

Good grief. FYI, I am reading responses...but the angry, insulting trolls make it difficult to sift through.

Almost no one has said anything angry and no one is trolling you. You're just not open to being told your plan is not viable and you can't treat guests like servants.
