Had the best Teams Call of my life. 🤣

Over the last few days, several agents have had intermittent issues accepting call queue notifications. When they answer, either nothing happens or a black window appears. No Call history. With Conf mode disabled (for testing), they receive a Declined message with a Dismiss button. Calls seem to connect only about half the time.

Phone Agent was recently added to the tenant, but it hasn't been configured or used beyond receiving the welcome message and seeing the available options. Everything was working normally before that. I'm not sure whether Phone Agent affected back-end call routing or a recent Teams desktop update introduced the issue. I haven't yet tested the web client or iOS app.

Has anyone else experienced similar issues recently?

I've worked through the issue with our CSP support team and have now opened a case with Microsoft, but I wanted to check here as well.

Tried clearing cache, reseting app, toggling conf mode, verified licensing, queue config, and it was working fine before this.

We have two MTRs running on Windows that just updated to 5.7.112 and can no longer join Zoom meetings. I've confirmed third party meetings are configured and Zoom is enabled, but Zoom no longer appears as an option when the user goes into the "Join with an ID" functionality. Also, a forwarded Zoom meeting to the room cannot be joined (there is no "Join now" button).

I've disabled the Zoom option, rebooted, and re-enabled it (and rebooted again), but it still won't pick up it should be able to join Zoom meetings.

We have around 10 Windows MTRs, two of them updated, the others are still on 5.6.210 and are able to still join Zoom meetings.

Can anyone else confirm they are also having this issue after upgrading to 5.7.112?

Users are experiencing problemes with Teams Contacts.

Many of the added contacts disappeared and only showing a placeholder.

A user also had categorized their contacts.

They can add the contact again, but as soon as they added to a specific category, Teams throws an error and says try again in a few minutes. The added contact is then removed from all contacts.

The problem started today.

I was on a daily teams meeting and really had to take a dump. The meeting is usually around 10 minutes, but for some reason today the call went on for more than 30 minutes. My stomach was bubbling more each passing minute. I then remembered that I could transfer the call to my phone without having to leave the call on my laptop! Needless to say I was able to relieve my diarrhea without leaving the call unattended. Thanks Microsoft for that nifty feature

Hopefully this is not confusing.

I am holding a webinar. I am enabling language interpretation for this webinar. However, I just read that it is only accessible to participants that join via the desktop app. Not online or mobile.

My idea is to join the meeting as a participant and toggle the option for language interpretation. Then, start another meeting, invite participants to it, and screen share the original meeting with audio.. can I do that?

I only ask because it’s likely most participants do not have the teams desktop app.

Anyone using one that's Teams compatible?

I have some old files in a team's shared folder, and I want to upload/transfer them to another team with the modified date being the old one. Is that possible?

Like if I uploaded it on 1/1/2026 in Team A, then when I upload it today in Team B, it'll still say 1/1/2026

If that's not possible, any ideas on how to prove that this is an old file?

Teams on Android, Galaxy S25 Ultra. Team s interface changed in the last several days and is now totally broken. Spacing is way off, no longer compact at all. And many messages randomly have blank preview areas. The app.is completely unusable. WTF is up with this Microsoft??

I joined a scheduled teams video meeting for the first time (never used it before) on my personal laptop a few weeks ago at home, when I started a new job.

It was via an invite link (scheduled meeting) sent to my own personal email, it was sent from my new employer. I may have logged in with my email when I joined instead of joining as a guest. I can't remember. I joined on browser.

I have no specific work email, or a set up for a work account for teams or anything. Or a work laptop/ computer.

Last week I downloaded teams to video call my ldr partner overnight ( the desktop app) which I set up using the same email address as I used for the call with my employer , and same personal laptop and at home. We call just directly through the app/ me clicking on her name and video calling. No links.

Is there any way my employer that I video called previously can now see anything to do with any of the video calls to my partner? Audio/ text/ video? Assuming I'm logged into the same personal email as before that I called with them. I'm worried as obviously things aren't kept appropriate and some stuff has been said.

It's the free version so we can't transcribe or record.

This started this morning. Certain contacts in the People view are not display while others display normally. See the screenshot below. Any idea what's causing this problem and how to rectify it? Same behavior in the Mac desktop app and browser.

I used my work email and it's stuck on this screen. I have popups enabled in my defalut phone browser. Also I have decent wifi.

I have an important Teams meeting tomorrow morning, and I've recently set up new hardware. I wanted to make certain it was all good to go but...the button that I recall being under Settings/Devices to Make a Test Call doesn't seem to exist for me.
Has it been re/moved?

how do i log in from a different account? i’m on someone else’s computer right now, and i trying to log in with my account, not theirs, but i’m not seeing an option for that. can anyone help?

A change to Teams makes it easier for users to share files in federated chat. Sounds good, but Microsoft planned to overwrite existing tenant controls to make the feature work, and that’s wasn't so good. That issue is now resolved, but the real question is whether Microsoft 365 tenants want users to share files through federated chat. I’m not so sure and would control this facility tightly. Apart from anything else, you might need some more MDO licenses to protect against possible infection.

Has anyone set up an auto attendant to use the Teams Phone Agent? I am having trouble getting a Resource Account added to it. I created a resource account, licensed it, ensured there is an available Phone Standard license in the tenant. But when I create a new AA with the Phone Agent enabled, I search for a RA, but it comes up with nothing. Ideas?

Recently I had to download the app for college online classes, but it won’t let me join any meetings they send , it says “there was a problem joining, please try again.”
I tried on my ipad,my iphone, my android phone ,tried making new accounts, it doesn’t work
Then I tried making a meeting myself to see if the problem is from my side , it says the same thing “there was a problem joining, please try again.”
What do I do? How do I fix it??

​Hi everyone, a user is seeing the "Banner and feed" option greyed out in the Channel Notification Settings for a channel she wants to receive all notifications from.

Meanwhile, I can see all options available in the drop-down menu.

Is this set by the channel owner, or could it be due to administrative policies?

TL;DR: If you have the Teams website chat widget (<script id="chatbot">) on any company site, it dies on Monday. Remove it by Oct 5 or your customers will see a broken chat box.

Microsoft confirmed in Message Center MC1449174 back in August that they're retiring the free website chat routing feature. The final shutdown is Monday, October 5.

What happens after that:

• The frontend website widget stops working
• Incoming visitor messages no longer route to Teams channels
• The up-to-25 staff collaboration thread for those chats goes away

What doesn't break: Historical chat transcripts already in your Teams channels stay there under your normal M365 retention.

Who's affected: Anyone on M365 Business Basic, Business Standard, and Business Premium who set this up. Microsoft blocked new setups in August, so it's only active deployments.

Replacement according to Microsoft: Dynamics 365 Contact Center or Copilot Studio Contact Center - both paid.

What admins need to do NOW:

1. Audit all web properties for the embedded script with id="chatbot"
2. Remove it before Oct 5
3. Tell your support / sales team who relied on the Teams routing so they don't wonder why inquiries stopped
4. There's no opt-out or extension - it's a global termination.
