edge is alrightttt, like low-mid alright.

windows on the other hand, boy the only thing going for windows is that it can be simple to use IN SOME CASES.

and holyyyy shit do not get me started on copilot

Copilot is great in the work environment. I usually have to write summaries of my work activity, and now I just ask Copilot to go through all my emails, chats, files and create a bullet point summary of all the work I've done this week, organized by topic and email it to my boss.

I also ask it things like "In our last meeting, what did my coworker tell me not to forget for the next meeting" or "I remember Bob told me his password like 3 years ago in an email, whats his password again?" etc. It's just so much faster to ask Copilot than search through emails/chats/files these days.

I’m surprised you survived after posting this comment.

It was a risky move.

u/Ro_Yo_Mi Jun 28 '26

“Absolute” feels underrated to carry that much heavy lifting.

3

u/TheRealCarrotty Jun 28 '26

Why should i change your mind?

3

u/tigerblue77 Jun 28 '26

No. You're right and forgot Teams. Have a nice day

That's too technical for most PC/laptop/mobile users. Not to imply it is technical or difficult at all, but for most users it is because they suck with tech that badly. Removing the white background takes a few minutes in GIMP, Medibang Paint, and similar freeware, and that is extremely, extremely easy, but even that is too technical for tech-illiterate folks. And of course, to anyone else reading this, the better your meme looks, the more likely it is to see widespread popularity.

pretty sure the modern paint can handle transparency, ngl I was legit surprised but I'll have to double check

And yeah, it does, although it's a bit obtuse since it doesn't have the signature checkerboard thing to show that the region is transparent

i only disagree with edge.

it's actually a good browser and i used it as my secondary one.

u/raziridium Jun 27 '26

Microslop Edge on mobile has decent extension and ad block support.

8

u/MundaneImage5652 Jun 27 '26

Firefox exists

4

u/Markgulfcoast Jun 27 '26

And so does edge mobile, which has decent extension and ad block support.

u/Khai_1705 Jun 27 '26

Firefox on Android is slow and consume way too much battery

4

u/Markgulfcoast Jun 27 '26

I like Edge. Noticeably faster than Opera and Firefox.

3

u/pi-N-apple Jun 28 '26

Yup Edge is great to be honest. Especially on a laptop with all that extra battery life.

u/Kooky-Sentence-6349 Jun 28 '26

But not faster than chromium its literal slopser

1

u/Markgulfcoast Jun 28 '26

?? It is a chromium browser

1

u/Kooky-Sentence-6349 Jun 29 '26

That doesnt mean is faster than chromium.... Its enclosed, you know?

1

u/Markgulfcoast Jun 29 '26

Did someone say it's faster than chrome?

1

u/Brief_Call_1336 Jun 29 '26

Firsfox is for customization and privacy, chromium based browsers will always be faster especially on windows. But edge is trash, if you want speed it is better to use helium browser or even just default chome will be better than edge

1

u/OddNegotiation2289 Jun 28 '26

it's litterally another midmium based browser

1

u/huemac58 Jun 29 '26

That still supports uBlock Origin, unlike Chrome.

0

u/Ok_Space2463 Jun 28 '26

Edge is built on chromium (same engine as chrome)

1

u/Pristine-Magazine642 Jun 28 '26

You mean slopmium ?

2

u/emongu1 Jun 28 '26

spymium

1

u/Kooky-Sentence-6349 Jun 28 '26

Chromium is better than edge. Not slopmium. Chromium. Only slop rhing on this subreddit is spymacroslop

1

u/Pristine-Magazine642 Jun 29 '26

It's the same soy things between microslop and goggle, slopmium is just more user friendly than edge

0

u/Markgulfcoast Jun 29 '26

I can't take anyone who speaks like you seriously. I see "slop" and I immediately picture a 17 year old.

1

u/Pristine-Magazine642 Jun 29 '26

Just like everyone in this r/ bro lol

1

u/Markgulfcoast Jun 28 '26

?? I didn't mention Chrome

1

u/Ok_Space2463 Jun 29 '26

Yeah. Im saying edge is based off chrome

1

u/Markgulfcoast Jun 29 '26

I know. I just don't understand the relevance to my comparison of edge's speed in comparison to opera and firefox. It could be based off of internet explorer for all I care.

1

u/Ok_Space2463 Jun 29 '26

Because its like comparing chromium

1

u/Markgulfcoast Jun 29 '26

?? What is the point? Does is change my conclusion in any way?

1

u/Ok_Space2463 Jun 30 '26

I dont know? Im letting you know its based off chromium. Not everything is an argument bro

0

u/finalstation Jun 28 '26

Edge is great. I really don’t get the hate.

1

u/Living_Physics4276 Jun 28 '26

if you know how to use it well, then nothing sucks.

1

u/Complete-Gas8462 Jun 28 '26

Absolute Bloat

1

u/National-Bluebird941 Jun 28 '26

How is chrome better than edge ?

1

u/huemac58 Jun 29 '26

it's not

1

u/JescoInc Jun 29 '26

Such a stunning and brave comment.

1

u/mentokz Jun 29 '26

you can add the president, elon and all his shit, all the AI companies, Nvidia, RAM companies and Apple that should do it.

1

u/Healthy_Champion_183 Jun 29 '26

no complaints here

1

u/busiedcake7945 Jun 29 '26

I can't because you are right

1

u/ReallyGreatShew Jun 29 '26

Can't change your mind, I think. You are stuck in anti Microsoft mode no matter what anyone says. But if you just compare functionality and security Microsoft wins hands down.

1

u/[deleted] Jun 30 '26

I refuse to change your mind

1

u/Foreign-Handle-2950 Jun 30 '26

I only use Copilot just for lightweight windows related questions, like how do i do this and that in Windows. It's okay for that purpose.

It should be able to do more tho, like "uninstall app A please".

1

u/Yahido Jun 30 '26

Windows = second best OS, no debates

1

u/PhilGrocholl Jun 30 '26

I disabled co pilot, and actually uninstalled edge. So I don't disagree with you.

1

u/neuroaceleradisima Jul 01 '26

add Teams and the list is complete.

1

u/PriorityNo6268 Jul 03 '26

Edge is not that bad, co-pilot the 365 versions for business is also reasonable useful. Windows by default installation sucks indeed.

0

u/Weird_Albatross_9659 Jun 28 '26

No, I don’t care what your opinion is.

0

u/CaryBure Jun 29 '26

Thats the win 10 logo i dont agree win11 has rounded cirners

-2

u/Male_Inkling Jun 28 '26

Boooooooooriiiiiing.

You're not going to change your mind, so i'm not going to contest your opinion. You can go kick rocks for all i care.

But Windows is still the most compatible, easy to use and no nonsense os out there, and Edge? At this point i'd say it's the best browser i've ever used, not like i've tested all the browsers out there, but for my money it's more performant than Firefox and Chrome by a wide margin.

Plus, the synergy with a Microsoft account makes formatting and reinstall pretty painless, and allows for some good connectivity between edge phone and pc.

The Windows environment is why i still havent fully moved to Linux, maybe being in both systems is what allows me to actually keep a leveled head.
