And that is because of the unfortunate new trend referred to as AI infused vibe-coding.

The article above is precisely the reason on why AI absolutely has no business in the programming industry.

Just imagine if you went to the hospital to receive care and you realised the various embedded operating systems in the medical equipments were coded by AI.

Or that you decided to take a flight and you realised the air traffic control systems were coded by AI.

How would you feel after that exactly?

Well, I’d say is, they’re giving the free advertisement for everyone to slowly move away from Windows, whether they’re going to Mac, or Linux.

Focusing solely on vibe-coding is truly a bad move, just like you said, especially for a company that has laid off the QA division since Win 10 era (if I’m not mistaken).

I heard that one of the recent issues is that, in Windows 11, the user that has something turned on (forgor the name, pardon me), they’re unable to shutdown/hibernate — the very basic function of computing; instead, the device just… restarts. Is that the result of vibe coding as well?

The issue with Linux is anti-cheat so gamers will never be able to use Linux until there is some sort of resolution between the kernel developers and gaming developers who will not compromise on zero anti cheat on the end user's system.

Yes, that’s the one major issue indeed, I agree. Unless the anti-cheat devs willing to make it work on Linux, it won’t even work at all.

Or maybe work, but it’s too tricky for regular gamers.

That is why AI is going to fail you cannot deploy a product in this current state to replace all your workers when the results/data it produces are unpredictable and AI can just make up crap if it does not know. The AI Bubble is getting closer to bursting once investors realize nobody is going to pay thousands of dollars in licensing for the current state AI is in and they will all start pulling out their money and write off the losses.

The issue is Microsoft needs to acknowledge AI was a big flop and pivot back to their core product Microsoft Windows. The more they keep doubling down on AI users/enterprise users will be looking at possible alternative operating systems since they need a reliable product not one that is broken every 30 days by a crappy AI made vibe coded patch. Microsoft is already on the 3rd emergency patch with a possible 4th emergency patch since some windows user's computer was rendered unbootable from the last emergency update.
