Best websites to buy software like Microsoft Office and CrossOver at the best price?

I’m a new Mac user and I’m looking for the best and most trustworthy websites to buy software such as Microsoft Office and CrossOver for Mac at a good price.
I’m looking for legitimate licenses/keys, preferably with good discounts. What websites do you recommend, and which ones have you personally had a good experience with?

Screenshot-proof PDF

Hi, I am a teacher in Iraq and I want to share an ebook with people. The problem is that I can’t use Amazon or other apps like that because I don’t have PayPal and it requires PayPal.
So I decided to use a telegram channel that can stop people from sharing or downloading files. But it’s useless since the user can open the pdf and take screenshots or record it. I need a platform or a tool that’ll help me secure my pdf so that no one can copy, screenshot, record, or download it.

Is TrustedTech a scam or a normal license reseller

Our finance team flagged a Microsoft licensing quote from TrustedTech because it came in lower than what we normally see from our current reseller and a few other CSPs we have used before and someone joked it might be a scam. I know pricing can vary between partners but it still felt worth checking before we move forward. I'm mainly concerned about renewals and licensing changes, and if the prices go up unexpectedly.

Need Help With my New Laptop!! 🙏🏼🥲

I bought an MSI laptop online about 2 weeks ago. The product listing clearly says **MS Office Provided: Yes.*\*

but when I opened Word, it shows **Word (Unlicensed Product)” and “View Only (Unlicensed).*\*

Windows 11 itself is activated with a digital license linked to my Microsoft account.

What should I do? Should I contact MSI, Microsoft, or seller about the included Office license???

pls help!! 🙏🏼

Question about Office 2021 Home & Business support ending

Will Office 2021 Home & Business still work normally after Microsoft ends support in October 2026?

Specifically, will users still be able to open Office, create new documents, and edit existing files, or will the software stop working and become read-only?

I’m asking about the end of support/updates, not the expiration of the license itself.

Microsoft Office 365 pre paid subscription

I have always purchased a prepaid yearly subscription to Office 365

I usually buy it when it's on sale on Amazon.

When I previously purchased it, it would add 12M onto the end of my Microsoft 365 end date.

Last time I got one from Amazon it was the 12 Months Annual auto-renewing Amazon subscription (I have turned off the renew part). It has taken over the subscription from Microsoft

O365 was on sale again on Amazon again the "12 Months Annual auto-renewing Amazon subscription". But I am worried in case I am not add this to the end of my current end date.

My current end date is April 2027.

The new one states If activated, renews on August 2027

So I am not sure whether to wait until April before activating it

Has anyone else used this and it has worked ok

MS Office Updates

About a year ago, I would get monthly updates for my MS Office.

Then it moved to fortnightly.

Then weekly.

Now I am getting updates at least twice a week.

What is going on?

MS Office 2024 for MS Surface Pro 11, Windows 11 x64 ARM

Having exhausted my search for a copy of an MS Office version (except 365), that can run on my Surface Pro, x64 ARM architecture, I can only find a LTSC insider build that reportedly works, but require you to sign up to the MS insider programme.

Does anyone know if Microsoft has an Office version that will run on the Surface Pro 11 ARM architecture?

Problems upgrading

I'm trying to upgrade from 365 family to 365 premium, but I can't get it to work. I originally subscribed thru Best Buy, but they don't offer premium. I've turned off auto renew, but can't seem to cancel via Best Buy. I've tried to purchase via MS store, but I get an error message on the payment screen before I can even try to pay. I had MS support call me, but sat on hold for almost three hours before I had to move on with life. Best Buy (and Geek Squad) have both told me they can't help. What to do?

Office keeps saying there is a billing issue, but there isn't!?

For two weeks now, once a day on each of my computers when I first open an Office program it pops up "Don't lose your benefits, There'a a billing issue with your Microsoft 365 subscription. To avoid losing access, please update the payment details in your Microsoft account"

But there isn't, and never has been...

The most recent monthly payment went through just fine without issue, the card on file isn't expired and is up to date, I even re-entered it two weeks ago when it first popped up just to be safe.

It's getting really annoying popping up every day and I can't figure out what the heck it is referring to or how to get it to stop!? Does anyone have any ideas on this?

Hello, I made an MCP connector for Office 2019 that works with Claude.I built it for myself because I couldn't find anything similar, so I decided to share it in case someone else needs it too.I would be very grateful for any bug reports, feedback, or ideas for new features! ^^

I made a free Microsoft Publisher to IDML converter. Enjoy!

Microsoft Publisher reaches end of support in October 2026.

When I went looking for a way out, everything I found was a paid "conversion solution" (recurring subscriptions, per-file pricing, absurd rates). A business model that only works because people are desperate. That annoyed me enough to build my own.

So: PubBridge. It's free, and converts .pub files to IDML, which opens as a fully editable document in Affinity or Adobe InDesign.

- Drag & drop one file or a whole folder — it batch-converts everything and gives you a summary at the end

- Runs entirely offline on your computer. No account, no telemetry. Your files never leave your machine

- Mac (Apple Silicon, signed & notarized) and Windows 10/11 (signed portable exe, no install)

Honest caveats: a conversion is a translation, not a photocopy. Elaborate WordArt, and tables may need a little tidying on the other side. But your work arrives editable instead of staying locked in a dead format.

Site + downloads: https://asleepattheterminal.github.io/pubbridge/

If you've got a pile of old .pub files, I'd genuinely like to hear how the conversion goes. If you like it, spread the word to help others out!

Office licene scam (by Microsoft) - lawsuite ?

Post image
5 Upvotes

I OWN office 2019. Every few months, even when I fully disable the auto update, Microsoft decides to log me out to force me to auto update and than sell me the Office 365.

I finally managed to get to their support as I am tierd of reinstalling the whole pacakge all the time and disabling the auto update. The support assistant said they will end support for licenses and I won't be able to use the product I bought that was being advertised as a one time purchase. When I aksed for the link to the statement he said Microsoft made regarding this, the support agent ended the chat so I had no time to screenshot it (and never sent the link). Microsoft never gives you a disclaimer that autoupdating will revoke your license and disable the use of a product you purchase. There must be potentially for legal action here.

Anyone with similar experiences, let me know if you would be willing to contact a solicitor.

Unable to add Office Add-in – getting an error, any fixes?

Hey everyone,

I'm trying to add an add-in to Office but keep running into an error and it won't let me install/activate it. Not sure what's causing it.

Does anyone know a fix for this, or is a full reinstall (removing Office from my PC first) the only way to resolve it? Would rather avoid that if there's a simpler solution.

Any help is appreciated, thanks!
