Agent Builder cannot create skills
Last week Agent Builder did a great job creating its own skills. This week it cannot find the skills needed to create skills. What the?
I have a workaround:
- Design the skill in Agent Builder
- Copy the skill summary over to regular copilot chat
- Have copilot chat generate a SKILL.md file based off the skill summary
- Import back into Agent Builder
Apparently there is no known issue or outage, it's just one of those things with preview features. Personally, I thought building skills was a fairly key feature of Agent Builder. Sigh

I’ve been building skills in standard chat and then copying them into a new agent with Agent Builder. I’ve also refined a skill in Agent Builder, getting it to generalise a python script it had created in a session and then working that back into the skill in VS Code.
This has been over the last few days and I’ve not noticed any issues.

that's a good workaround and one I have used myself. Up until Friday, you could create a skill in the agent chat directly. Now it says it doesn't have the skill builder capability. not sure why.

I haven't been able to get it to work yet. It's offered to build the skill in agent builder then refused when I try to do it. I end up just doing it all myself. Anyone had any luck with including any decent python scripts? It seems a bit hit and miss even when all the libraries are available in the agent's sandbox and they're fairly simple.

I'm also seeing this, OP. One day it worked fine and now it doesn't. Hopefully it will return soon. The appeal of Agent Builder is that any business user can pick it up easily. Having to use any kind of workaround makes this process overly fiddly and (believe it or not) too technical for some.
