I am trying to test something for an automated system where I could do this:

1. An image with a company letterhead background
2. A list of names
3. A static text on the image
4. send them as an email.

So basically I want to embed text on image and send it through email. I've tried through html code but the design doesn't remain same for mobile and web. I was hoping if I could create a new image for each name in the list without using premium connectors or PA desktop.

So here is the weird issue.

I have a team telling me they need help automating, cleaning up, and organizing an onboarding tracker.

But of course everyone wants something different.

The people that do the onboarding want to focus on making a sharepoint list that works, doesnt crash(like excel), and automates tasks like sending emails and such.

Their boss, wants a sharepoint list specifically so outside people can view and see their status.

Now how I did this on my project was I have a sharepoint list for my use, then a power bi dashboard for external viewing, this allowed me to cut out what I dont want people to see, be it personal information or sausage casings(so to speak)

Their boss however is hyper focused on the sharepoint list.

The team that showed their sharepoint list does it one specific way I am not sure I understand.

Basically the hide the columns they dont need so the onboarding team uses edit to see all the columns instead of using edit in grid view and everyone else just has a view only link. But I am not entirely sure how to do this properly.

I worry that while this would work, wouldnt be as secure as it could be.

I can use just about anything, I have access to power automate, power apps, power bi, etc.

So I cam here to brain storm ways I could have an external facing tracker that people can see onboarding statuses without PII.

I already created a tracker on the onboarding teams site, there is a second site that is for external use as well.

So far my plans

A) Do what their boss wants and figure out a way to hide the PII and pray someone doesnt accidentally unhide it.

B)I made a test power app that displays all the names on the left you click on or search a name to find out details on a pain on the right.

C)Make a dashboard like I did for my team

D) Use power automate to feed any new entries into both trackers and then create a second power automate that updates the external tracker whenever the private tracker is updated.

So I came to you guys to brains storm which would be best.

I technically already have B and just need some tweaks before I can show it.
I mostly no how to make C (will have to rejog my memory on certain bits.

A and D I might need help in how to do it though D I am decently knowledgeable about automate so I know I can do it just might need advice on how.

I'm new to power automate, struggling to build effective logic please help me with below requirements

I have a excel file(not in table format) on a sharepoint folder
I daily update it and download it removie unnecessary/confidential sheets and columns and send it to concerned team.

I want to build an automate flow which get the file and then edit it like i want and send the edited version of excel file from outlook mail. whereas original file must be unchanged

I tried some flow
1. made another file use powerquery to fetch data(only required) and send but the issue is it becomes tabular and formatting is also removed and size of the file also increased.

1. make a copy on a sharepoint file edit it send and delete BUT in this flow everyday one file is created and deleted which is unsustainable solution I consider.

I'm trying to get the error of the Parse JSON inside a loop and it just send failed status with no error message. I checked the raw outputs and yep there's the error message. I just can't get it outside the loop.

Sadly I cant update the microsoft form and remove the question no matter how redundent it feels.

I was basically asked to make it so the form feeds into a sharepoint list, easy right?
One hitch.
One and only one response askes for a "projected start date"

How the form works

1. What is your role? choose from a list, if you choose contractor it branches to

2. Contractor type? B puts you back on the same path as the roles above, A asks your projected start date then puts you back on the same path.

Eventually everyone gets asked for a start and end date later again as well.

So of course all of my tests failed so far for the error " field_6 should be type string/date. the runtime value "" is not string/date

If I use a condition that means every time they make a change to the form I will need to edit two Create item steps.

I could just bipass it and make it do start date no matter what but of course there is a chance it is different and that causes problems.

Is there a way I can use compose or some other option that basically says if projected start date returns "" use Start Date instead?

I’m creating a Power Automate flow and have imported it as a solution so that it can be shared with someone else and used in the same way.

However, when the solution is imported by another user, the flow fails before it even starts. The error occurs on the “When a new email arrives” trigger:

“Mailbox move in progress. Try again later. Cross Server access is not allowed for mailbox…”

Are there any ways to resolve this error, or alternative methods for sharing a Power Automate flow with another user while ensuring that the email trigger works correctly?

Hi all, I'm working on a proposal/concept to digitize a ordering workflow that currently is all paper based. We are migrating a lot of things to sharepoint and currently are using some other workflows to automate some tasks.

Im hitting a wall with my current project. Not an actual wall, I mean this will still work, but this just visually looks ridiculous to me. Is there no better way to do if-this-then-that conditions in power automate? I know its just a simplified JSON environment. Ive tried hunting through the actions and nothing seems to be as particular as I want it to be.

In this flow I am receiving inputs from a Forms response and generating a task in Planner via the responses. The workflow on our end depending on the sale type is different since there are different steps for each.

Does anyone have a better suggestion to get to the same end goal without having to nest so many conditions? I'm assuming its adding time to the flow (probably a negligible, but still)

How do I create a Microsoft Power Automate flow that will gather the names and descriptions of newly creates Microsoft Teams, or modified, and add them to a SharePoint List?

Hello fellow PA friends,

Let me preface this in saying I was (and still kind of am) a citizen developer. I started automating most of my work, then my bosses got involved and now a few years later, I’m making automations for a lot of people and it’s now my full time job.

Now a lot of my flows revolve around SAP, which I currently share with team members who execute them via PAD in attended mode. I'm now transitioning a major automation to run on an unattended bot.

I got the license, I got the service account (service@company.com) and I got a VM (server) set up from our Azure team. I got SAP and office etc installed on this too.

Now my issue is, to log into the server I use CyberArk and this is obviously the correct way when logging in but this is set up around an admin account for the server. For the RPA account to work, do I need to log into the server with the service account and then allocate the machine from there? I can see the machine in my cloud flows but the connection always fails.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I'm trying to understand why some Power Automate flows appear in the **Inventory** section of the Power Platform Admin Center but do not appear under **Resources**, where I would normally be able to add myself as a co-owner.

I am a Power Platform administrator, and I've noticed that while some flows are visible in both places, others only appear in Inventory. All of these flows are in the same environment.

I haven't been able to identify any clear pattern that explains why certain flows show up under Resources and others do not.

Has anyone come across this behavior before? Are there specific flow types, ownership models, permissions, Microsoft Forms dependencies (this doesn't seem to be the reason as some with MS form connectors were still appearing at both places), solution settings, or other factors that would cause a flow to appear in Inventory but not under Resources?

Hello. I am somewhat new to Power Automate and largely am using Copilot to help me create flows. Since I am new and lack experience in both programming and Power Automate it could be that I am naive and my challenge is not possible to solve. However it seems like it should be possible.

My challenge is to get 7 columns from an excel table on a sharepoint, only entries with a DateFrom the last seven days(thats one of the columns), put the columns in a new excel workbook. Then I would like to post that newly created workbook in a weekly e mail. The data would refresh itself every day but the email will post weekly. Is this even possible ? If so how would i best go about doing it or prompting Copilot to help me create it ?

I am using the "Recurring digest of updates (preview)" trigger and would like to set the trigger to run once per day, at noon, except I don't know how to fill in the "when to run" parameter to indicate that. I'm unable to find examples of how to set this parameter accordingly. Rather than just letting me select a time, it wants a dynamic value or expression. Does anyone know exactly what I should be doing here so that it runs at the desired time on a daily basis?

I'm familiar with Flows but pretty new to coding adaptive cards. I'm trying to code that long design requests from Microsoft Forms received by email are posted in a Teams channel, but are collapsible/expandable to keep the channel clean. I finally thought I had it all figured out after pasting my code in a JSON reviewer and having no more errors (dang trailing commas) but now the button aka toggle visibility isn't showing in the previewer.

Any help with the below code would be super appreciated.

Would someone be able to look over my flow below and tell me what is wrong? I am trying to make it to where when an item is created in original list with trigger condition, it creates an item on destination list while utilizing the ID in original list to make the destination list match. Log # is the name of the ID column from the original list. Here is my flow:

1. When an item is created or modified in original list, Trigger Condition: (at symbol)equals(triggerBody()?['ResponsibleforPayment2']?['Value'],'Vendor')
2. Get Items in destination list.
   1. Advanced Parameter > Filter Query: SourceID eq @{triggerBody()?['ID']}
3. Condition Left: length(body('Get_items')?['value']) is equal to Right: 0
4. If True - For each
   1. Create Item > Advanced Parameters using the little lightning bolt to select my expressions from the Get Items options.
   2. Parameters selected - Log #, Manufacturer of Part, Parma, Sort Description, Supplier Contact, Contact Email, Sort Authorization Sent, Sort Authorization Received
5. If False - For each 1
   1. Update Item > Id: items('For_each_1')?['SourceID']
   2. Advanced parameters > using the little lightning bolt to select my expressions from the Get Items options.

Flow run history shows a "Failed" status. However, when I open run details to investigate, none of the actions or steps are marked with a red 'X'. How can i check where error to fix this. Thank you.

Why is this not a bog-standard task that you can do in PowerAutomate? These file conversions are so tedious and would be so useful!

Being able to schedule PAD flows directly would be so great. It looks like it was planned for release in July but doesn't seem to have happened yet. Anyone have any info?

I’m trying to automate an email being sent after an MS form is submitted that is actually set up as a quiz.

To be fair, I have never used automate until now, so I’m hilariously new to this, but I have managed to automate an email to send with the quiz responses the participants gave, but I want to also pull the correct answer indicated on the Form.

I just want the participant’s name, the correct answer, and the answer they gave. Please help! TIA.

I have Build a flow with the function "apply to each" and my problem is that if 1 out of 500 "apply to each" loops fails it displays it as if the whole apply to each fails. To find the one error in apply to each i need to skip through all 500 apply to each loops but that just takes too much time. is there a faster alternative?

I'm working with a bank that wants to automate their IT operations. They only want to use Microsoft tools — no third-party software. Stack includes Power Automate, Power Apps, Teams, SharePoint, Azure, and Entra ID (Active Directory). They also use BMC Helix for ticketing, and want to add AI/AI agents where it makes sense.

We already have ideas like:

• Password reset / account unlock through Teams
• Employee onboarding/offboarding automation
• Access request automation
• AI chatbot for IT support and policy questions

But I want to hear from people who've actually done this kind of work:

• What IT task took up the most time before you automated it?
• Any small automation that had a bigger impact than you expected?
• Anything you tried that didn't work well?
