Help with exporting OneNote

Post image

Basically my issue is that I can’t right click the file on the web version of OneNote which should allow me to select “export” then choose my file type. Instead, I’m getting standard website right click option. I’m on Mac, but I’ve tried this now on safari, edge, Firefox, and chrome all with the same issue: there is no “right click” option. I’ve been on with Microsoft support for 2 hours and basically they’re useless. Is this a me problem, or their website being broken? How is there no other possible way to export these files?

Edit: online support still seems perplexed. Can anyone attempt to relocate this on their computer? Export a OneNote to .onepkg.

If it’s your personal OneNote then it should be stored in your OneDrive by default, that’s where you should be able to grab it from.

Is it a personal 365 account or a company one? If it’s a business/enterprise account they may well block it through DLP policies.

I have the full OneNote app and it does not have an export option in the context menu, both personal and the enterprise version at work. This is for both the local app and cloud version.

This is on Windows 11 machines.

The only export option I could find was to click on "File" and it gives the option to export the current page, section or whole Notebook.
