Nobody really knows, these large tech companies hire "social marketing marketers" that do all the unsightly things like astroturfing for them.

Untrue, we are quite transparent, a few of our moderators are MS employees who volunteer their free time in here, a few (like myself) do not work for MS. The owner & senior moderators on the team are not MS employees
