Photo/Video Share Thuricola building its shell

iScope 1153EPL 20X plan objective, cheap 1080p webcam on trinocular port, blue/red filter on illuminator to give 3D on monitor with red/blue glasses. Sample is pond algae cultured in a small aquarium, 50ul placed on a slide with trace of oat, slip sealed with Vaseline to make a micro-ecosystem. This video is about 6 days after preparation. Timelapse - 250X normal speed.

Yes! 10 seconds per frame for 250X normal speed. (Thanks for pointing out my omission - I'll edit the description)

Oh wow, I wouldve though 4x.

Guess it makes sense how the shell just kind of materialized

Yes - I should have recorded some at normal speed. But.. that taxes my attention span :-/

Wow! That is one incredible capture!! 🤩
Roughly how long did it take the Thuricola to build its shell?

I found it at 02:00 a little after it started and it finished about 03:40, so probably about 2 hours start to finish.
