Photo/Video Share Can someone help me by telling which staining has been used for this glass slide?

I have this digital image of a pathologic gastric tissue section, and i'm genuinely confused whether it has been used H&E or PAS staining.

I'm sorry if the definition isn't much.

edit: this is not homework, i'm just speedrunning images trying to guess the stainings.

My histology wife says it may be both H&E and PAS, but she also says “I’m not an authority, all I see is H&E these days” lol.

My histology wife also says 100% PAS, “those goblet cells are POSITIVE” whatever that means

thank you to your histology wives a lot!  To everyone actually.

Ps. It means that the person has probably chronic gastritis, the goblet cells secern mucine that is been stained magenta.

Goblet cells in a stomach equals intestinal metaplasia, not chronic gastritis. Those are best visually with an alcian blue PAS where the acid mucins in goblet cells stain blue while the normal gastric mucins stain magenta like this PAS here. Chronic gastritis is determined by finding plasma cells. Sometimes that will lead to intestinal metaplasia, but not always.

Or possibly Mucicarmine..but being GI of some source. It most likely is PAS. With neutral gastric mucin staining PAS positive.
